“The Golden Nugget Hotel was a nice place to stay in Cripple Creek! The room was extremely clean and modern, close to downtown Cripple Creek (easy walking distance), and the staff was always available and very helpful! I was also surprised by how quiet it was for being in a casino gambling town! There were a few things that could be improved. There was no microwave in the room which is really necessary for someone with dietary restrictions. The only appliance was a small, one-cup coffee maker....

“My sister and I stayed here with my dog and loved the place. Very comfy set-up, plenty of space and stuff to do, near interesting natural attractions and beautiful scenery. We enjoyed some long walks around the area, used the kitchen to make meals, and took advantage of the tv and streaming apps while staying up later than we should.”

“Home is great. Nice and clean. Loved that I could bring my little buddy Oliver (dog). We just hung out. Needed a break from town and work. Picked a bad week to check things out. Road crew was there the whole time. Lots of traffic. So we hung out and cooked good food on my little griddle that fit on the grill. We would stay there again. Want to go have dinner in town sometime or check out the mountains.Thank you, Sam & Oliver!”

“We had a change in plans and had to take the kids. If you are staying longer with a family, this might not be ideal for families unless the goal is to break away from technology. The place is very quaint, rustic, quiet and overall nice. It is more of a romantic spot than a family spot in my opinion.”
