Stay three miles from Rocky Mountain National Park, minutes from downtown shopping and dining, and enjoy access to cable TV with free DVD movie rentals in this Estes Park cabin-like accommodation. Unit Two is a cozy, single-room suite featuring a full bath with jetted tub, king bed, twin sleeper sofa, microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker. Dine in our picnic area with a gas grill or unwind in front of a wood-burning fireplace. Your stay includes snowshoe rentals during the winter. Dogs welcome with approval ($15 per dog/per night) but no other pets and no smoking, please. Sleeps three.

Sunnyside Knoll #2
Close to town and RMNP. A little close to the road that you can hear traffic but not terrible. Easy check-in/out. Very clean. Would be great for those not spending much time indoors. It is an awkward layout and felt a little cramped. We had snow and cold temperatures so we were there quite a bit and although it advertises 3, I would not say more than 2 would be comfortable. Baseboard heat- one was blocked by furniture and our room was cold. The windows by the bed felt drafty. Working wood fireplace but needs maintenence. Jetted tub worked well. Small and slightly awkward bathroom. We would stay at Sunnyside again, but not this particular room.

The first night was awful, heat did not work properly. We called the emergency number and the so called maintenance man that came was no help at all. So we spent the night bundled up and cold Called office 1st thing in the morning and they did put us in the unit next to our original one and it was nice. The door had about 1/2 gap but the same maintenance guy came and fixed it, kind of, it helped still had to put a towel down and needed weather stripping around the door so we stuffed paper there to help with the draft around the door. Windows were drafty. Then had problems with the TV but was able to get it fixed.
