“The Vanguard in Ann Arbor went beyond my expectations! The room, lobby, restaurant and staff were exceptional! Our daughter was a student at U of M and we have stayed at many of the on-campus hotels throughout the years. The Vanguard is in a class of its own! I can't wait to stay there again!!! I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to everyone!!!”

“You can’t beat the location of this hotel. So close to lots of great restaurants and conveniently located within walking distance from campus. We enjoyed hanging out in the lobby each night, watching tv and enjoying some freshly baked cookies. The breakfast had a nice selection as well. ”

“We stayed for two nights and as said in the advertisement of the hotel could we expect daily cleaning. Coming back from business on day two we found the room not to be cleaned. We went down and asked why. Our story ended with the manager asking the police to eskort us out within 10 minutes . We left ,and went for another hotel in Ann Arbor.
Still they keep charging me valet parking twice and the deposit which they use to have as a safe if something breaks down. ”

“Good hotel for a quick stay at a reasonable price. I should have paid more attention to the note that this is a pet friendly hotel, as I had a dog barking across the hall from me for three hours straight that evening. This is not the hotel's fault by any means, but keep this in mind as there may be noise. Aside from that, the hotel is clean and staff is friendly.”
