âMy first stay at Gunwharf Holiday Inn. Lovely cozy hotel. Close to all restaurants, railway station and outlet shopping.
Hotel was clean, neat and tidy. The air conditioning wasnât working but the staff accommodated us with 3 table fans . The weather was quite pleasant, so didnât mind the air conditioning not working. Breakfast options were very good too.
Will definitely be visiting the hotel in the summer.

âThis is a very well renovated B&B with nice amenities like a smart TV, kettle for tea and coffee, and a super comfortable bed. The entrance to the hotel and rooms is controlled by an electronic code. There is a modest continental breakfast on offer with the option for boiled eggs and a sausage or bacon sandwich. âWe were allocated a disabled room. We booked a standard room 3 months prior, but this was all that was available. We felt uncomfortable because the room was set up for people with disabilities. It had a low bed, low sink, a seat attached in the shower, loads of safety hand holds and alarm cords everywhere in case of emergency. We felt like we were in a hospital and did not feel like we were in a nice hotel. It was very disappointing and we did not enjoy it. â
âProperty is in a very good position over looking the Solent and walkable to Southsea or Portsmouth.
Had everything we needed and particularly enjoyed the roof gardenâ
âGorgeous room and lovely decor overall although a few things were broken opun arrival e.g. One of the blinds pull strings was snapped and one of the plant pots was crackes.
The staff were very courteous and helpful.
I would rate higher but the rooom did not come with any bath products or a hair dryer, and the tea and coffee was kept in the hallway between the rooms rather than having a selection in the room.
Will definitely stay again if this is fixed. â
âNo ventilation, the apartment has no WINDOWS, accept for 2 roof lights which were too high to reach.
The property was booked for 3 people, I rang and confirmed but regardless there was no linen or pillows for the 3rd person.â
âGreat location for a stay in Southsea and Portsmouth. I was here for a Portsmouth Field Gun Reunion and it was handily located to venues in Southsea and close to bus routes to Portsmouth city. Quiet street. â

"It was clean and very nice service. But time has indeed run its course. Very small rooms and the pub has been closed for 3 years. With all that said it is value for money unless it is warm cause then you will be cooked."
