“My family stayed at this house for 3 nights for our trip to the Kentucky Derby. We were unbelievably excited to see the house when we got there! We almost exclusively use rental homes for our trips now due to having kids and more of a “home” feel. “Pat's home is beautiful, with every amenity imaginable. We particularly enjoyed the comfy and ample seating, the fireplaces, and the back porch. The heat lamps were a special surprise and we made use of them during our frigid time of year visit. The house is quite a trek from the landmarks you would plan to visit in the winter, just give yourself ample time to get anywhere that is scheduled (like Mammoth Cave tours and the like). I imagine visiting in the warmer months makes for a more appealing...

“We really enjoyed our stay at this house. Everything was very clean, well decorated and very cozy. Wish the lighting would have been a bit brighter. The kitchen was well stocked. We really appreciated all of the tupperware containers, to store leftovers in. The lake level at rough river was low. There was also a lot of floating debris at certain times, making it hard to boat or tube. I would suggest putting a note in the manual about what day trash day is, along with providing one or two more...

“Our family absolutely loved this place! It's secluded and private. We loved using the huge mat and kayaks. We brought lots of our own games and didn't even get them out. Just played in the water, played ping pong and the washer game, and sat on the deck and ate and talked. Kitchen had everything we needed. I can't say enough great things about this place.”
