Florens vackraste egenskaper är avskilda i kullarna som omger staden,
som drar nytta av en fantastisk utsikt över landskapet, utsökta italienska historiska trädgårdar och svalare temperaturer. Sådant är "La Magione degli Alighieri", en plats för inspiration för poeten Dante Alighieri och, efter hans exil, hem till familjen Beatrice Portinari, kvinnan som han följde till helvetet och utöver i sitt mästerverk, The Divine Comedy.
Villan och dess trädgårdar ligger på den mest kända historiska vägen som leder från Florens till Fiesole, a
tio minuters bilresa från stadskatedralen och gömde sig bakom höga stenmurar med en fjärrstyrd grind.
Andra världskriget lämnade palazzo och dess omfattande trädgårdar i ruin; deras räddning och restaurering av greven Pier Francesco Rimbotti är fortfarande en av de mest anmärkningsvärda berättelserna i stadens annaler. Det har varit kvar i Rimbotti-familjen sedan dess och uppdateras ständigt. Villan har totalrenoverats sommaren 2016 och är bara tillgänglig att hyra. Villan visas i många böcker om vackraste villor runt Florens.

På bottenvåningen ligger bekvämt eleganta vardagsrum dekorerade med antikviteter och handmålade väggmålningar på vardera sidan av entrén. Dubbla dörrar från en av dessa leder till en panelerad matsal, lika lämplig för sex som för fjorton. Fresco måltider kan serveras i det täckta verandorummet eller vid ett långt bord på gården. Det stora moderna köket ligger på baksidan av huset.
En vacker böjd stentrappa sveper upp till första och andra våningen. Här är
delade ut fem rymliga dubbelrum, vardera med ett nyrenoverat badrum
badrum och oberoende justerbar luftkonditionering. Ett hörn av första våningen är
ockuperat av ett litet men ljust kontor som öppnar till en terrass med solstolar för solbad. På terrassen finns en badtunna (hydromassage) för 6.
Trädgårdarna är utformade i klassisk italiensk stil: stigar kantade med klippta häckar och
massor av rosa hortensior skuggas av höga paraply tallar och punkteras av
statliga cypresser. Ett vackert lusthus med soffor ligger precis bortom
den första gården.

Två vardagsrum, verandorum, matsal (med ett bord som kan utökas till
plats fjorton), frukostrum (med barplats för sex). Modernt kök med top-of-the-line apparater. Tvättstuga och personalrum med separat ingång.

FÖRSTA VÅNINGEN
Fyra stora dubbelrum, alla med eget badrum och justerbar luft-
konditionering. Kontor öppnar till en stor terrass med en sittgrupp med utsikt över trädgårdarna

Beautiful Villa, clean, neat, beds were very comfortable, nice gardens and beautiful views. Wonderful restaurant recommendations bu Monica and sincerely appreciated all the information prior to arrival. Cooking class was top notch and very enjoyable. Peiris was extremely helpful and every conceivable situation….9 of us in our group and we all voted peiris as the best thing about the Villa !

Fantastic historical property of Dante's family. Staff was fantastic, made us breakfast, took care of us, got us rides and groceries. Beautiful view of Florence and the Duomo from the main villa where the owner lives. The property is actually 2 attached villas

Paradise in Florence

We stayed at this place with the group of friends in April. The villa is gorgeous. Planty of space. It is in a very prestige area of Florence, very quite, but still a 10-15 ride back to all the attractions. Tons of space outdoor. Pool, a bunch of other amenities. Special thanks to Peiris for taking care of us during the stay. Monica was a pleasure to work with on all the planning. She organized a catering for us (which was awesome) at the night of arrival. Truly a very memorable experience for the whole group

Enchanting villa in Florence

The property is astounding. Gorgeous, large garden with a lovely pool. The house is just beautiful and perfect with 5 bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. It worked really, really well for our family. Nearby on-site houseman was super helpful and made things very easy for us. It was a 15-minute walk to bus stop to Florence city center. We just loved it.

Great Property, Some Communication Issues

The house is beautiful, spacious and well situated. In addition, Peiris, the housekeeper, was warm, professional and helpful. However, there were issues with communication from the bus mgr. Weddings: During our stay, there were 2-3 weddings every week. On those days, there was noise in the evenings, sometimes past 1am. The noise in the living area and some of the bedrooms was OK. However some bedrooms faced the wedding side &those rooms had issues.This was not disclosed prior to booking & felt like something that should have been in the VRBO write up. Surprise Agreement:3.5 weeks into our stay, the bus mgr forwarded an additional rental agreement. It was a modified longer term contract with inaccurate information and parts that weren’t applicable to us. The big surprise was a requirement to pay for electricity which was not part of our original understanding &, as we found out, could be thousands of $’s. We told her that it wasn’t reasonable & the mgr eventually relented on the request to pay for the electricity. We ultimately left without signing but not before wasting time attempting to mark up the document. Bad Tour: The bus mgr arranged a Cinque Terre boat tour that didn’t go to Cinque Terre but instead just toured the nearby commercial harbor. Instead of the original boat for 7 in the photo, we were in 2 dinghies not fit for purpose & promised things didn’t happen (drinks & eng speakers on both boats, boats staying together, light lunch, etc.) Disappointing experience

Magical Christmas in Florence

We traveled with 9 family members for 9 days over christmas to New Years Day. We were totally delighted with the home which is perfectly located and is better than depicted in the photos. The common rooms are beautiful including a gracious dining table large enough for our large family to enjoy some formal holiday dinners under a beautiful Venetian chandelier. The kitchen is well equipped which allowed us to cook a multi course Christmas dinner together , (only suggestions would be better chef knives) The 5 ensuite bedrooms allowed every member of our party to enjoy beautiful, well appointed rooms with comfortable beds and extraordinary views of the Florentine hills. Monica, the house manager, was extremely helpful and hospitable: shopping for our arrival, arranging our in house chefs for our dinner on Christmas Eve, arranging for transportation for our two excursions to Siena and to Capezzana., offering great restaurant suggestions and making reservations for us at restaurants that are popular with the local people,(which honestly would not have been possible without her help for 9 people!) and generally making our stay as seamless and enjoyable as possible. She is a gem! I would not hesitate to recommend this extraordinary property to friends. I hope we can come back someday!

Great house, great location

It is a lovely property with wonderful grounds in a stunning yet convenient location for Florence and beyond. We were travelling to watch our son race at Mugello circuit each day and that was straightforward (he won the World Championship!!)

Incredible property. Pictures do not reflect true size and beauty of the large villa and property. On site staff is wonderful and very helpful with taxi and dinner reservations. Not to mention a great American breakfast occasionally. Can’t wait to go back with our 8 friends.

Perfect Vacation Villa

We stayed here in July with 2 families and the house was incredible in every way. The whole house is just beautiful. The grounds overlook Florence. The pool was a welcome respite from the heat. It was just a short taxi ride into the center of Florence. Peiris took such good care of us - cooking delicious breakfast every morning, getting us cabs, even driving us on occasion as we were having trouble getting cabs for our large group. He was so so kind and helpful. Monica was also very helpful leading up to our visit helping us coordinate food and dinner upon our arrival as well as transport. This is the perfect property for a large group with all the luxury you could ask for! HIGHLY recommend!!

Fabulous Time at Historic Dante’s Manor

We enjoyed our stay with our family of 8. We would highly recommend this beautiful villa. Monica was very helpful with making arrangements. We really appreciated the service that Peiris provided throughout our stay including cleaning the rooms each day. The Villa is beautiful and the property has well maintained gardens. There was a terrace and hot tub on the second floor and the pool was a great break from the heat. The Villa is close to Florence and we had several dinners in the city as well as closer to the Villa. Overall a great stay.

Florence Getaway

House is all that you see and more. Pieris and Monica were incredibly helpful with arranging trips and dinners including the in villa cooking classes. A beautiful way to experience Florence and the surrounding area.

We were a group of 4 couples who spent 4 nights in this beautiful home. Periris the grounds keeps was exceptionally helpful as was the property manager, Monica. Grounds are lovely. Property is 15 min. from Florence and a great spot for day trips to Sienna and the hill towns. We could not have found a more perfect spot!

Dante's Manor hosted us for an incredible stay! What a wonderful villa in perfect location. Cristiana and team could not have been more helpful and flexible with all of our arrangements in advance, throughout our stay and beyond. Wonderfull Villa in a great setting.

Wonderful Villa

We had a great stay at La Magione degli Alighieri. As a first time used of VRBO and home share services, I was initially very nervous. However, Cristiana allayed any concerns early on. She was very responsive in helping to answer questions and make arrangements (groceries, catered dinner, transportation for wine tasting) prior to our arrival. Our house manager was also excellent and made sure we were comfortable. I was looking for a property with character and proximity to Florence, and this property really delivered. The villa comes loaded with history, wonderful wall paintings, and a beautiful garden full of roses and lemon trees. While we had easy access to Florence (a 30min bus ride after a 10min walk to the bus stop), when you were at the villa you felt like you were away from the hustle and bustle. Every bedroom has amazing views of Fiesole and the hillside. If I were to make any complaints, it is that the house was very cold when we were there (early May). This may be a plus if you are visiting in the summer, but if you are visiting in the spring come prepared. We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend this property to friends and family.

Fantastic home! We loved it!

there was 8 of us that stayed in this beautiful villa just outside of Florence. We had a wonderful man,Pedius,who looked after all our needs. He was outstanding! The house was charming; clean and spacious. The gardens and pool are lovely. We had a cooking class at he house and there was plenty of room to participate in the activity as well as enjoy the meal in the beautiful dining room. Christiana, the house manager, was wonderful. She met us at the Villa when we arrived. She was kind enough to shop for some groceries before we arrived. She also called and checked on us to see if we needed anything. The villa is approximately a 10 minute walk to a small town which has 2 restaurants and a sundries shop. You can catch the bus right there to take you into Florence. My only complaint would be that the beds and pillows were too hard for me and my family. That being said....we had the best time and can’t wait to return!,
