“This was our first visit to Anna Maria Island and we loved it. The cottage exceeded our expectations and the pool area was a gem! We used the golf car to get around and went kayaking in the canal. Our 3 kids really enjoyed fishing on the Rod & Reel pier which is a 5 minute walk away. Thank you Dan & Goose for making our stay perfect. If we go back to AMI we will definitely stay at The Castaway Cottage again. ”

“The cottage was impeccably clean! Appreciated all the renovations. The young couple managing the place could not have been more helpful. They went out of their way to help me when I needed it. The bikes need maintenance - rusty chains, wobbly handle bars, breaks that freeze up. You could use some more kitchen tools. I was glad to have the kitchen as parking at the beaches cost so much money! Thank you, great stay. Grey”

“The property was as described in the online listing. The only two issues we had: We couldn’t figure out how to turn off the ceiling fan in the living room (it was always on at high speed)There was a sulfur odor in the neighborhood at times, which we found out from neighbors that is a thing in Sanibel. Nothing to do with the property itself.”

“This darling cottage is in a great location if you love Anna Maria. It is an easy walk to the beach and bay as well as lots of great shopping and restaurants. The living area is super comfortable with lots of recliner choices. The unit is immaculate and the kitchen is well appointed. ”

“Shell Cottage was cute as can be . It was very clean , beautifully decorated and well equipped. However; there is an alarm on the entry door that is ear shattering. The check-in information states it is part of the rental license rules which I understand. There was no grey box on the outside of the door which can be pressed to allow entry within 45 seconds before the alarm goes off. There was a button on the inside that allowed us to leave the cottage.. I’m not sure I would stay here again...

“We had a great stay here with our three young kids. We loved being able to chose between the pools or the beach and the amenities the resort had to offer. My husband and son especially loved the Topgolf hitting bay, and I enjoyed the food on site and the sauna. The property owner was extremely communicative and very helpful. We highly recommend. ”

“The house was beautiful and George was a fantastic host. Lots of privacy with easy access to all the amenities. Our dog loved the fully-fenced backyard. “My husband and I stayed mid-March for 7 days. The weather cooperated and it was sunny and mid-70’s all week! The Ibis cottage was perfect for the two of us and it was far enough away from the commerce area that it was peaceful and quiet. We never ran out of activities and excursions mixed in with beach days. It was very helpful to have the Tradewinds beach available as all the other beaches were challenging to find parking. If there was any downside to our stay it was the lack of laundry...

“Cute room that had everything we needed. Bikes and beach wagons were a nice addition. Close to lighthouse with good restaurant and ice cream shop across the street. The only negative was that the hot water ran out quickly during showers. Nice to see Sanibel rebounding from the hurricanes. ”

“Enjoyed our stay. Perfect sized cottage for the two of us. Wish the bathroom had a shelf for cosmetic bags and dop kits, but we managed. Liked the beach access and parking pass even though it was a long walk from the parking lot to the beach. Communication with the owners was very was good. No dishwasher, no laundry facilities, no hair dryer but towels and beach chairs (too low for us old folks) were provided. Umbrella would have been nice. Lots of the island things to do were within...

“På hemsidan står det att hotellet har pool, samt trädgård att grilla i. När vi kommer dit är hela poolområdet och trädgård förstörd efter orkanen förra året. Inget som framgick på hemsidan. Allt utomhus ser ut som en byggarbetsplats. Vi kommer överens med hotellet att vi lämnar direkt och åker vidare då vi inte vill bo på det sättet. Vi blir lovade att få tillbaka alla pengarna. Ändå debiterar dom oss för en natt. Tråkigt när man lagt mycket pengar på en resa och kommer till ett sådant ställe....
