“Like an old fashioned pub. Room more than adequate. Good pub food and beer. Great breakfast.”

“Clean, quiet, comfortable room with a very comfy bed, plenty of facilities e.g. tea/ coffee, toiletries, bottled water etc. Staff are excellent especially Adam and Lorna. Food - breakfast and evening meal were also excellent, we cannot fault the Eaton Oak and will be returning soon. A big well done and thank you to all of the staff!”

“Everything was as we expected. Great staff, friendly bar and a great steak night. Not forgetting a fabulous breakfast. The only negative were the impressive bird droppings on my windscreen after I made the mistake of parking under the trees in the car park. Long journey to Tesco Wellingborough to find a car wash!”

“Lovely hotel, attentive and friendly staff. Room was clean and very comfortable. We had the family suite which was amazing. Lacked coathangers but other than that it was fantastic. Breakfast was gorgeous and we ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was excellent. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to others.”

“No heating in the room, it was 6 degrees in there all night. They gave me a new room in the morning, but when I arrived after work it was just 12 degrees in that room. It´s also very worn down with stains everywhere on walls and floors, and it smells of mold.”

“The hotel is clean the staff friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast in your room is well supplied and although querky in a good way was a very pleasant suprise we were in a room on the third floor which although smaller then we were use to was able to have twin beds a bedside cabinet a large wardrobe and a breakfast table a fridge and chairs without looking overcrowded The shower and bathroom adjoining was first class. We will certainly use this hotel again”

“Enjoyable third one night stay over recent years near to Christmas as a stopover to visit relatives in Oakham. Christmas trees and lights decorations looking good. Good view of Rutland Water and easy access to it through the gardens”
