Accommodates large groups easily

We recently stayed at this property with a large family group and there was room for everyone. Two kitchens were nice and four bathrooms was great. Really the only complaint was the showers in three bathrooms. They either pelted the person forcefully or made a loud shrieking noise while the water was on. However, we loved playing pool and shuffleboard every night. The gas fireplace was also nice after we replaced the batteries in the remote.

Spacious home for families

Perfect place for family gatherings. Solid home built large and spacious with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Great upstairs kitchen for cooking and visiting. Downstairs kitchen used for extra groceries. Safe and lite stairs for nighttime. Comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. Would have been better if we had heat downstairs but propane ran out. And be sure to ask if the sauna is working before you rent. It’s advertised but unknown when it actually was ever used. Last two things I mentioned the property manager had no knowledge of until we brought it up. Loved our stay!

Thanksgiving Family Gathering

Awesome place to stay that has lots of room. We had evening dinners and game nights there. The table held room for 12 adults playing Phase10 or Uno Flip, we had a blast. The younger kids had a great time playing pool, theirs tablets or watching TV on the first floor while the adults played upstairs. We look forward to doing this again in the future

Wonderful multi generational property!

We had so much fun! The fantastic game room (shuffle board, pool table, and big round card table for cards is located downstairs so if you have littles they are not disturbed by the laughter as they can be upstairs and our monitor had no problem receiving the transmission. Big kitchen/great room for hanging out. Our family brought their gaming gear and had multigenerational competitions in the den/tv room. Fun, fun, fun!

Wonderful vacation rental

The house was very roomy. We loved having so many different areas to spread out in. Both kitchens were well stocked. Loved having 2 laundry rooms as well. We really enjoyed the game room and basketball hoop. Very quiet location. I did not give 5 stars because the floors were quite dirty (made everyone’s bare feet black) and the inside of the kitchen cabinets looked like they could use a good scrubbing. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

Fun and relaxing

This home was so fun and quirky. We had an amazing time and hope to stay here again. It had so much space and the game room made it so much fun. Only down fall was the table was no conducive to playing board games. Lots of pans and amenities in the kitchen made it easy to cook all meals in for the entire weekend.

Amazing place for families!!!!

This home was just perfect for our family. What is lovely, is that there are no TVs upstairs but 2 downstairs where all the other fun is. This allows you to have peace and quiet up and fun and loud downstairs. However, be prepared that the game room has no heater. It would be fabulous if they put some sort of heat in there. The shower head in mater bath definitely needs to be replaced. There were several deer and so many birds to watch out the glass windows. The sauna is lovely as well!!! Now for the problem that we had. We had a bad storm come thru and we ended up with no power or water. There was a generator that kicked in but we think it ran all night and in the am there was nothing working. This also meant no internet connection and as there is not cell service there, we were unable to contact property management. There is a landline available, however it is a vintage rotary phone, so when attempting to call and needing to press and option number, we were quickly thrown back to the ole days. We drove to the local Vacasa office on our way out of town and there was no one there as well. We called Vacasa when we were able but we were answered by a gentleman from another country and still was unable to speak to someone local and explain the situation. I am a rental property owner and as such when we rent a property, we leave it in tip top shape. with no running water or power, we were unable to do this. That bugged me more than anything. There were a couple food dishes with leftovers that we couldn't clean out. We couldn't start the dishwasher and worst of all the toilets would not flush. So, my hope is that the owners or Vacasa will see this review and have an explanation, as I am sure when they get there to clean the power will be restored. One more note, the upstairs couches are super comfy but the feathers that are constantly poking out are not and they make such a mess. Now, for the bottom line, we loved every minute in this house. Even the poky feathers!!!! The power situation happens, I just don't like not being able to discuss it with someone. The shuffleboard table was a blast, but we did have to go buy salt for it, as the container there was empty. Pool table was a blast as well!!!!!! Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and serving utensils pot and pans etc.....There was not any tin foil, plastic wrap type stuff, but we had brought our own as we planned to do allot of cooking. We hope to be there as a family again next year!!!!!

Spectacular accommodations

Great location and a lot of space for large groups to stay comfortably. Check in and check out was easy but heed the recommendations not to rely on navigation to get you to the location. All and all, everyone had a blast and enjoyed the pool table and shuffleboard & walking to the pond full of Lilly pods and last but not least sightings of a deer with her fawn.

Beautiful grounds

The house itself is very spacious and the grounds are beautiful. The pool table was fun for everyone. The house is nice and there were plenty of beds and bathrooms. The place was not cleaned well at all which was very disappointing. The property management did respond back to me quickly though and offered to have it cleaned again, as well as, refund the cleaning deposit. There are also many things that were damaged and needed repair, but nothing major. All in all, it was a nice retreat away for me and my family.

Lots of room. Great upstairs room with fireplace and kitchen. Most of the family gathered there. Very nice dining room upstairs with ample seating for ten at round table. We will definitely be back.

Second time staying at this property. Had 4 families, each with young kids (ages 2-7) and plenty of room for all of us. Lots of room indoors & out for kids to play and give adults space to relax.

A maze of possibilities

This home includes an assortment of bedrooms and shared spaces; more than a group of 8 is likely to ever need. It is clean and well-appointed. The property is quite large and private. It makes a great home base for exploring Fort Bragg and Mendocino. The kids enjoyed the game garage and the TV rooms on the first floor while the adults enjoyed eating and conversing in the great room upstairs. I was able to find a quiet space to get some work done. And others enjoyed reading out on a deck. There is something for everyone in this house.

VBRO-Fort Bragg

10 members of my family traveled 18 hours to meet up with 40 of our relatives living in Northern California. We were hoping to find a place to accommodate 15 of our family members. When we arrived at this location we were amazed at how spacious the place was. We were disappointed that 7 of our family members had to find other accomodations due to the maximum limitation of 8 people for this location. This place could have easily hosted all of us. Due to lack of available lodging in the area, 4 of our members had to communite from Willits, a 2-hour round trip drive each day. Time which could have been spent on visiting with relatives they hadn't seen during the last several years. As I was tasked with preparing dinners for two nights for the 50 family members meeting at my cousin's property, it was nice having the 2 large kitchens and refrigerators this place offered. My elderly mother appreciated the upper deck and living room space that facilitated visiting with family and relatives in a quiet environment. Other than the limitation on the number of people who could stay at this place, we enjoyed the premises very much and would stay again.

Family Night Rest, Recreate and Reconnect!

Lots going on here inside and out. The guest who complained about the tv, internet, and no shoes situation should have stayed home. Come here to unplug and enjoy all that the Mendocino Coast has to offer. Food? Check. Beach fun? Check. Game time? Check. Quiet time with a good book? Check. Kayak on the rivers? Check. Yoga at the Gardens? Check. Silly shopping? Check. Groove with nature right outside your window? Check and mate.

Wonderful quirky place

We had a wonderful stay with the family at this spacious property. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the living spaces and kitchen were in good condition and had all the features one would expect. The property is quiet and private with beautiful views of woodlands. The layout is quirky with the whole house built in a large metal warehouse type structure. It has the feel of a home put together by a do-it-yourselfer, with dozens of doors leading to hallways, bathrooms, bedrooms, laundry rooms, etc. The downstairs kitchen has some funkiness with countertops higher than standard. The downstairs bedrooms have some windows that open to an unfinished workshop area. The rec room areas downstairs are in garage spaces that are unheated. And, as many have noted, the wifi is very weak - you should expect to only read your email - it's not robust enough to do much else. And cell reception is poor in this location as well. But, we really found ourselves loving this place. It's very comfortable, quiet and the grounds are beautiful. The location is perfect as it's near the Mendocino Botanical Gardens and situated between Mendocino and Fort Bragg.

It was a nice and spacious home would rent it again

It was really easy! The only problem was it was really hard to find the home and master shower is showing some mold on tile!
