“This historic home is in the best neighborhood in Lexington, right in the middle of other historic homes and walking distance to many great restaurants. It is nicely appointed, very clean, and very comfortable. The listing photos depict it very well. My family and I would stay here again.”

“Our family stayed here over Memorial day weekend for a family wedding and we just had the best time. the house was beautiful and has everything we needed. The kids had the best time in the pool and jumping on the trampoline. Very clean and spacious and the owner Sam couldn't have been nicer. Came over to check on us and talked for a little was very helpful. a great place to stay .”

“The code was showing on the wall next to the door which made us feel less than safe. I tried to contact the owner and he never responded. The sofa smelt like someone peed in it. The bedroom close to the kitchen had a mold smell. But the most worrying issue was the shower that was in the bathtub was on a platform with no rail to hold on to in order to get out safely. Otherwise we enjoyed the house.”

“We read the amazing reviews and somehow this bungalow was even better than expected. The place was super clean and way bigger than it looked in the photos. It's in an awesome spot, really close to tons of restaurants and the UK campus, but still super quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch, riding the bikes over to the UK campus, and relaxing in 5hr comfy beds with lots of pillows. Perfect for anyone wanting a mix of convenience and peace. Highly recommend!”

“This is the third vrbo we’ve stayed in while visiting Lexington, and it was awesome! Very clean and spacious. Comfortable beds. Nice back porch rocking chairs to read a book and enjoy the weather. The highlight of our stay was the ping pong table, of course. We are a very competitive family with very mediocre skills, but boy did we have fun! We will be staying here from now on whenever we come to Lexington to see my son. Thanks for your hospitality and wonderful communication. 😃”

“The property was perfect for a quick bourbon trail getaway with friends. It has everything you need a for a comfortable stay.”

“The house was very clean, looked just like the pictures. Entry was easy. There weren’t any wash clothes that I could find or a paper telling us what to do before leaving…. So we did what we typically do when we stay other places. Also check the street view before you book. That street made us a little uncomfortable. But we didn’t have any issues with the neighbors. Over all it was fine for the 1 night we needed!”

“This is a very nice home that is well decorated and with very nice amenities. Two minor relatively minor (but annoying) issues brought my rating down: 1) the VRBO listing links to the incorrect address; this resulted in our showing up at the wrong house to a very confused homeowner 2) we ran out of body wash and toilet paper and had to buy our own (we were extremely busy during our visit and simply didn't have time to contact the property owner about this issue); no laundry detergent was...

“I met my 8 girlfriends from college in central Kentucky. The Havilah House was the perfect location for keeneland and bourbon tours and halfway between the bluegrass and Louisville airports. The house is comfortable and well stocked. The host was very responsive and answered our questions quickly. I would highly recommend it.”
