"I wanted to stay at an historic place and the Lafayette fit the bill. The property was nice and clean and in a great location. The rooftop seating was so nice to relax and watch the barges navigate the river. The free breakfast in the Gun Room was excellent and the bar had great food and good service. ..."

Unhelpful personnel
"The stay was OK, but the service after check out was non existing. We have reason to believe our iPad was left behind by mistake and it took the hotel 3 calls and 4 days to retur our call saying that they found our charger, but no iPad."

"Was a lovely place. Very interesting decor. Reminded me of my childhood. Robert was very informative about the area. Although it seems secluded, it was 10 minutes away from restaurants and sightseeing places. Fully equipped kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
