âExcellent surroundings - a lot of shadow, a lot of sun beds right next to the ocean - great! Good restaurant with nice place to sit and chill whole day. :)
Rooms location is strange as it faces parking, not nice to spend time there, but rooms inside are clean and comfortable.
The main drawback - NO POOL. The hotel is located in place with no beach, so at low tide you are not able to swim.
Location of the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, no option for short walk etc.â
âWe had booked this little hotel for six nights, but as soon as we stepped into the veranda/bar/restaurant we felt that we could stay forever...so booked another six nights directly, without even seeing our room. But we did not regret it!. This is a a hotel with all small details that makes you feel at home; for example a beach basket with towels and sun hats in every room. And as a Swedish person I loved the 'fika' every afternoon at 4 o'clock :-)

âVery nice place! Lovely pool area and restaurang just beside the ocean! Very nice location and a great beach just 19 minutes cykling from the hotel. You can borrow bicykles from the hotel. Amazing snorkling/ Diving a short boatride our to Mnembe Island. Good food!â

Quite small menu with okay food. Waiters were kind but a little bit to eager when cleaning tables which made us stressed. Otherwise very helpful! â

1- The service is incredible, the people here are amazing and it ia humbling how great the treatment is.
2- They went above and beyond to provide services that we requested even if not available.

âAmazing! Really lovely, so well taken care of by the staff. Beauty secluded bungalows, spacious and beautiful with lovely bathrooms. Great for snorkelling, diving and water adventures. âThree staff is very accommodating, and kind. There's a nice feeling they all know you and are trying to really help. We were there 4 days and it felt like we are a little community. The rooms are comfortable, clean, hot water and good internet connection. The breakfasts are very nice. I recommend to organize all your tours through the hotel, it's easy and very reasonable prices, and you know it's all taken care of. So a lot less stressful. âWe had a very nice stay at Ellavita Cottages. The room was cozy and Tina and Khalifa are very nice hosts. They are always there when you have a problem and can help you with everything. They also know the place well so any question concerning activites can be answered. The breakfast is also delicious.
Would definitely recommend and come back if we would go to Nungwi again.
