Very beautiful hotel nestled in lovely surroundings. The hotel needs some general upkeep/maintenance though. Hotel staff were very good - especially the hotel restaurant staff, who were professional and courteous to a fault. We first got a room we weren’t happy with - shower didn’t work properly, it was too hot and the towel rail made a loud noise. However, the reception staff gave us a new room the same day, which was much appreciated. The room we got was much better. The food in the restaurant was very good - gourmet style, inventive dishes every evening. Breakfast did not reach the same heights: nothing wrong as such but one suggestion is to have the serving staff serve coffee and tea, and not let us queue for 15mins for machine tea and coffee, which didn’t taste that good. Given that the coffee in Spain is excellent, that was a bit disappointing. Spa area and swimming pool: great.
