We pulled around, and I entered the last four digits of my telephone number into the keypad, which appeared to have been damaged or dug into with some sort of sharp metal object, only to discover that either the number had never been put...

“Up a couple miles on a mountain - fresh air retreat and cute little private cottage . Easy 20 min drive to downtown Arcata. Also an easy drive to get breakfast/coffee at the Bayside Farmstead Cafe as well. Host is very kind , accommodating and responsive. Will return to this place Redwood Forest Retreat!”

“Beautiful location for people to visit the Avenue of the Giants! This cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The host, Marisa was fabulous and went out of her way to make sure we had a full propane tank for BBQ, wood and cleaned the chairs near the fire pit. The kitchen was roomy and she even had 3 different coffee pots ( Keurig, French press and regular drip machine). The beds were very comfortable. Felt like a home away from home. “We loved our stay at Shore Acres! The property is beautiful and perfect for the kids and dog! The views of the coast were amazing and we took the short walk down to the river many times. The house is old, but very well maintained and updated. That being said, don’t expect everything to look or work perfectly. We appreciated all the linens and kitchen items, and the fun extras like the telescope and pingpong table! We will definitely stay here again when we’re in the area. ”
