“Loved our stay here. It was very peaceful and the reception staff were very friendly. They were great with communication and instructions. We got to our cottage after hours and it was a smooth check-in with the instructions emailed to us. The cottage is very comfy and spacious.It was about a 10 min drive to everything like downtown Truckee and it said 15/20 min to Palisades Tahoe but felt like less. ”

“Quaint 2-room suite that had EVERYTHING we needed (and wanted). Proximity to Liberty Square Market and even Ocean Beach was just a walk away (in a city that seems to drive everywhere). Thanks for the beach towels and for keeping all the bathroom hygiene products that others have left behind (i.e. shaving cream 😉). Immaculate yard and very safe neighbourhood too! ”

“Communication with host was excellent. The Spruce Cottage was immaculate and oh so comfortable. Great bed and a nice bathroom. The cottage was the perfect size for me. The outdoor space had comfortable seating, a clean grill and was private. Convenient to restaurants and Balboa Park. Plenty of on street parking. I loved my stay. I look forward to future stays!”

“A great stay, the cottage had everything we needed, and the house was very clean and easy. It is in a nice quiet area just around the block from the beach walk. Great for an evening walk. We felt very safe, and the neighbors were very nice. Our host was very helpful although there wasn’t much needed as everything was very clear and easy. ”

“Do not ever stay at this property unless a helicopter lowers you to the front door from the sky. Even if you don’t need to park a car and drag your luggage from god-knows-where you will still have to contend with 90 steep, dangerous, slippery steps to ascend and descend from this place. Bring groceries, don’t bother because the kitchen is hardly equipped. Toilet paper? BYO. I could go on but believe me, this place SUCKS!”
