This photo shows one of my greatest experience of 2019. 🐎❤️ I organize advanced cycling day tours in the Peneda-Geres National Park, and on one occasion we stumbled into a bunch of Garrano #wildhorses. There is always a chance to see them in the Serra da Soajo, but this time there were at least 20 of them. The hotel is very nice in a great walking location with great daily breakfast, dinner was delicious as well. The room was spotless and the staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. Highly recommend this hotel. Can’t wait until my return, this is my second trip staying here.

Arcos de Valdevez is a beautiful little town on the outskirts of the Peneda Geres National Park in northern Portugal. The quaint cobbled streets and sleepy bars flow out onto the promenade which runs along the river. On warm summer afternoons the shallow waters are filled with bathers seeking refuge from the heat.
