Vad kan vi säga, det heter väl! Du kommer att känna att du är till roret i denna soliga, oceanfront lägenhet med otrolig utsikt och snabb tillgång till stranden. En blandning av modern design och retroarkitektur, det här stranden huset har plats att spara och lite något för alla! Ett sovrum har en queen size-säng, den andra erbjuder en king size-säng, och det finns en drottning bäddsoffa i vardagsrummet. Båda badrummen har uppehållsduschar.

Stranden ligger tvärs över gräsmattan, så träffa sandstränderna när du känner för det! Gearhart är en enkel kuststad, men det erbjuder några bra matställen, som Pacific Way Bakery & Cafe. Om du är en golfare är länkarna tvärs över gatan. Att köra lite vägen söder om 101 tar dig till Seaside, med en förtjusande huvudremsa och ett brett utbud av aktiviteter för alla åldrar.

Gross

Condo smelled musty when we first entered. Counters were grimy, furniture ripped and torn and held together by duct tape, T.V. screen covered with dust, furniture stained and dirty, lamp fixtures and decorations covered with grimy dust. The final straw was the hair clog in the shower. Online pictures did not match actual furnishing. We had to cover the furniture with sheets it was so gross. We had to go out and but a tablecloth for the table because there was grim between the glass top and frame. However, the property manager responded right away and came over next day to re-clean it. Kitchen layout was good. The location was amazing and almost worth the angst of the overall condition, Have determined we will not stay there again. There is a difference between shabby and gross. This was gross.

Great Location, but Cleanliness Issues

Overall, this spot is great if you’re just using it as a touch down for a beach weekend. The location is wonderful, and it’s a quick walk to the beach. However, we were surprised by the lack of cleanliness and the condition of the furniture. Most surfaces were dusty, the windows were clearly smudged with handprints, and there were hairs in the beds and on the towels. We also ended up having to throw out some of our food after the first night as it was overtaken by ants. (It wasn’t left wide open, just normal countertop snacks in the containers). The furniture is definitely worn and ripped up too. Overall, it was a still a good little spot for the location, but could easily be improved with better housekeeping and care.

Good location.

Loved being so close to the beach. Really missed having air conditioning (how I didn't catch that in listing I will never know). There should be screens on the windows and doors, since that is the only way to cool the house down! Ceiling fans would make it more comfortable as well. In lieu of replacing the ripped couch, Slipcovers or reupholstery would help, as would a board under cushions of the couch to help with sagging. The kitchen was definitely well equipped, a big plus!

Amazing oceanside condo with lots see

Fantastic location!!! Takes you 2 minutes to walk to the beach! Close driving distance to great towns like Seaside and Astoria! We recommend checking out the Indian costal trail abiut 20 minutes out, spectacular views, about 4 miles there and back. You should also check out the Cathedral trail and Column in Astoria where you can throw a wooden plane off a tower! We also recommend going to the Sandtrap bar thats another 2 minute walk from the property and Grandmas Corner for a good hearty breakfast! The Silver Salmon in Astoria had some of the best clam chowder and Salmon cakes we have ever had! There is even a herd of elk that pass through the dune ridge behind the condo occasionally!!!

Nightmare experience

Me and my friend arrived and the door was unlocked we pushed it open to a foul smell to start. There were cobwebs and bugs (dead and alive) everywhere. Smears on the walls. Broken ripped furniture. Mouse doppings!!! Unusable usted pots and pans for the dinner groceries we were hoping to make. Vacasa was horrible when we called they gave us the runaround, kept promising to bring new pots/oans and to schedule a cleaner but we felt unsafe and uncomfortable and wanted to leave. They did not bring the pots/pans promised. We were forced to stay the night, despite calling twice to demand a refund to relocate. They would not allow me to talk to upper management to get a refund. This is unacceptable and I will never be using Vacasa again. Steer clear!!!

Wonderful stay in Gearhart

Very good experience staying for the first time in Gearhart. The only real complaint was with the TV. We spent a lot of time trying get on cable. We never did get on cable. They need to leave instructions so we can suceed.

Close to beach, but needs improving

Overall we had a nice stay, but there are definitely items that could have improved the condo which will be listed below Pros: end unit, no buildings between you and the beach, very short walk to the beach. Beach is very clean and soft sand. Overall check -in was easy Cons: unit is very dated, sheets/bedding are rough, many strangers walk through the yard despite there being a public trail near by, despite cleaning services stating they vacuumed and cleaned we removed a large amount of spiders during our two day stay, difficult to get a hold of anyone even in the number provided, cleaning services were not complete at specified check in time, no beach friendly cups/plates/beach towels for guest use. Overall this unit has a lot of potential, it is run by Vacasa however so I am Unsure if anyone will make changes. For the price I will likely book at a different location next time

Great location but responsiveness for broken appliances lacked

The location of this property is amazing! Proximity to the beach fantastic and we loved the grassy area and short walk. The inside is dated and not the most “kid friendly” as there as sliding glass tables everywhere and slate flooring. However the biggest shortfall was the oven not working and lack of responsiveness from Vacasa (the property management company). We have two very picky eaters and snagged some pizzas and salads to cook at the beach house after a long day in the sun. However the oven never heated up and was broken. We tried every which way possible and even called in for support. Nothing got it working and after spending an hour trying to troubleshoot and 30min getting ahold of the management company to report, we had starving kids, no dinner and wasted food that we couldn’t cook. Management company stated someone would call that night from the area and they would get it fixed in the morning but we never had any calls or contact. We ended up having to drive out and pay for ANOTHER dinner out, late at night, with very hungry tired kids. Overall the location saves this review but the broken kitchen equipment was a huge bummer as we like to cook in and had to pay double for meals as we prepped with ability to use the oven.

Labor Day Weekend Stay

Lovely place, perfect location, great kitchen, nice amenities; we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We brought bikes & were able to keep them in the enclosed back patio. Needs some updating

When I rented, it said remove linens and start machine if possible. When we arrived, sign on wash machine said it would flood. We were very disappointed and had to find a laundromat. The book on the counter should have directions for use of house which I have always had as I have rented houses before from Vrbo. Also should have direction for laundromat. The view and wall of windows was great, beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean and practical. Enjoyed rest of our stay.

Family weekend

Our family had a great time. Plenty of space to relax together or separately (two couples and one infant). Quick and easy access to beach. We’re able to frequent McMenamins (2 min walk), Long Beach, and cannon beach to see family.

Great location in Gearhart

I had never stayed in Gearhart before. This was a great location close to the McMenamins Hotel. The place is an end unit condo closest to the beach. You can't see the ocean because of a dune in the way, but you can see the endless sky and hear the ocean. Very short walk over the dune to the ocean. You can drive on the beach in Gearhart so with my bad knee it was nice to be able to get to the beach with walking through dry sand. I would come back.

Quiet and Relaxing

Property was just as described. Past posting mentioned heating problems, all was working great. It was nice and toasty You can hear the ocean and if you walk to the end of the fence line you see a portion of it, and if you follow the trail you can be there. Beds were very comfortable and an end unit made it nice, but it was very quiet while we were there. Very happy, nice property!

Lovely place

One cannot see the ocean from this rental but can see a stretch of green grass, some low dunes, then endless sky. Also an inviting path that leads to the beach via a 5-minute walk. Good kitchen and livingroom area, with essentially abwall of windows. Bedrooms and bathrooms not updated in the same way but serviceable. The bedrooms both have glass doors to a fenced back patio. A little awkward that these doors do not have window coverings. One of the bedrooms has a kingsize bed, which is really too large for the room, making it difficult to open the door to the livingroom area. To either side of the bed are nightstands which are inconveniently low to the ground and only one has a lamp. These are no more than inconveniences, though. This place is lovely. I enjoyed my stay and plan to return.

Perfect Family Retreat

We booked the Captain's Quarters for a holiday retreat on the coast. There were two couples in our group - and that worked perfectly for the rental's two main bedroom configuration. We already love Gearhart OR from past stays at other places, but this property is right off the water nestled in the dunes. You can't see the water just over the grassy dune, but there is nothing else between you and the open coastline. It happened to be windy and stormy during our winter stay. We even got a bit of rare coastal snow - but we were safe and warm with a wood fire the whole time. The expansive windows facing the coast make you feel a part of it all. We spent the week cooking and visiting and cooking some more. The open layout of the common space was perfect for this, and the kitchen well equipped with modern appliances and everything we needed. Our stay was perfect. We will certainly look for a time to return.
