“This property was a total disaster. It was advertised as having air con. No restrictions. We get there and were told there is no air con from 10pm to 10am. I would never have booked the place without air con. We were told to leave the windows open and were eaten alive by bugs all night. Spoke to the owners and were told ok we would be able to use the air con the following day. Guess what

“The Aquamarine guest house is a gem in terms of comfort, service and location- with a view over the bay. Highly recommended- but the parking is really at your own risk. Not for theft but for damaging the car when getting into the awkward parking lots. There is however a free taxi shuttle- so once you have parked you don’t need to use the car until you leave. Unfortunately we had a shuttle driver with annoyingly strong opinions about the situation in South Africa, but maybe we were just unlucky...

"Nice view and god breakfast, friendly owners. However we checked out after one day since the room smelled damp and of mildew - cupboards were worst but the whole room smelled funny, they installed showers in a basement area without proper ventilation and it shows unfortunately. Also the pool was not well maintained- in fact the circulation was not even on. You can’t swim at the local breach, just do walks. At the price they are asking this is too many lacks, there are places to stay close to the beach at Mossel Bay with nice pool t the same price
