Detta välutrustade 2000+ kvadratmeter stora byggnad byggdes 2006 och är centralt beläget. Det är precis ovanför den mycket charmiga Grand Lake Town med sina gamla västbyggnader, ombord trottoarer och vänliga invånare. Det ligger i anslutning till den historiska fastigheten Grand Lake Lodge, som ger en lugn bergsresor och öppet utrymme bakom hemmet.

Från det underbara stora rummet med handbyggd flodrockspis eller rymligt däck kan du njuta av skönheten i majestätiska Mount Baldy och en glittrande utsikt över Shadow Mountain Lake och Grand Lake! Ta in stjärnhimlen på en varm sommarnatt medan du kopplar av på däck. Se de bästa fyrverkerierna i Rocky Mountains från däck den 4 juli eller nyårsafton. På vintern när vägsnöpaketet tillåter det, hopp på din snöskoter precis utanför dörren och åka in i staden eller anslut dig med en spår in i Rocky Mountain National Park. Det finns så många saker att göra och minnen att göra i Colorado: s bäst bevarade hemlighet!

Grand Lake Village och Grand Lake ligger inom gångavstånd på mindre än en halv mil bort. Shadow Mountain Lake ligger mindre än en mil bort. Du har enkel tillgång till över 100 mil med preparerade snöskoterleder, njut av sjöarna, shoppa och äta i stan. Granbysjön ligger bara några mil längs vägen.

Den västra ingången till Rocky Mountain National Park ligger 3 km bort. Där kan du stöta på älg, får med stora horn eller älgbesättningar. Vandra till sjöar, klättra toppar eller bara njuta av utsikten. Otrolig Colorado skidåkning ligger i närheten med Ski Grandby Ranch bara tjugo minuter bort; Colorado lekplats - Winter Park Ski Resort och Mary Jane bara fyrtio minuter bort; och Steamboat Ski Resort, med sitt legendariska champagnepulver, ligger drygt en timme bort!

Obs: VRBO grupperar sökresultat för Estes Park och Grand Lake tillsammans. Detta hem ligger i Grand Lake på västsidan av RMNP. Estes Park ligger vid den östra ingången till RMNP, cirka 50 mil från Grand Lake via den berömda Trail Ridge Road genom nationalparken. När vägen är öppen (vanligtvis Memorial Day to Labor Day, eller in i oktober om vädret tillåter det) kommer enheten att ta cirka 2. 5 timmar med stopp för sightseeing och parkera trafik. På vintern är enheten mellan Estes Park och Grand Lake cirka 150 miles och 3+ timmar eftersom du måste köra alternativa (men snabbare) vägar in i bergen (I-70 från Denver, till Hwy 40 över Berthoud Pass till Grand County / Winter Park, till Hwy 34 och Grand Lake)

This cabin was very nice. The views of Shadow Lake were beautiful. We loved the shopping in the mountain town. We also had a great time hiking Adam’s Falls. Hot tub was very clean and relaxing. The host was great to communicate with. A wonderful family vacation. Would rent this cabin again in a heart beat!!!

The home had everything we needed for a long weekend in the mountains with friends. We brought 2 infants plus kids 8 and under with and the house was a great setup for multiple families with babies who wanted them to nap etc. plus the book and games selection was great. Comfy beds, great showers and we loved the hot tub too!

Communication with the host was excellent. House was well stocked with things to do, and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes. There were plenty of towels. The jacuzzi was great to have, and the decks were nice with great views. These were my issues with the property. The house was not clean. There were dishes that were dirty and put back in the cabinets, especially the pans. They had caked on grease. The bathrooms had mold in the showers. The carpets were so dirty. The trashcan was on the carpet and there were stains all around it. The curtains in the master had white stains all over them. My husband had to sweep the garage because it was so dirty we were concerned we would track dirt in from it when taking the trash out. The gravel driveway was overgrown with weeds. When you stepped out of your car, you stepped in tall weeds. That was unpleasant.The house is advertised for 12, but that was not accurate unless you wanted to stuff people in beds. At best it was for 10. We came with 12, and were charged extra because the owner told us more than 10 was 100 per extra person. I was honest because we thought there would be 10 of us but we added two more last minute for only one of our 2 nights. Have we known it was not truly a house for 12 we would’ve never rented it.The downstairs bunk room really should not be called a bedroom. It was more like an entry room to the basement with beds crowded in it. It’s truly a 3 bedroom.

This is a beautiful home in a beautiful location. In the winter, you will need four-wheel-drive to get up the steep hill. Loved the amazing deck and outdoor seating for the views and outdoor conversation. Enjoyed having the hot tub and being close to town. It was great to have a stocked kitchen, however, the pots and pans need major updating! I let the host know, but they need to have a conversation with their cleaning crew. When we arrived, there were crumbs on the couch, all of the shower doors were filthy, and in two of the bedrooms there were crumbs and candy all over the floor. Beds were clean and comfortable. Towels were nice and fluffy. Great place and location, cleanliness is an issue.

We loved the layout of the home. It was very well equipped. Towels and linens were fine. The pantry was quite complete.Apparently we(10) stayed longer than average and we ran out of space for trash. Not sure if the hot tub was always cloudy but we’re not used to that. Unfortunately there were flies in the window in the primary bedroom that came back to life in the heat.The hummingbird feeder was awesome entertainment! Sometimes there were 6 or 7 birds there at one time! We loved the porch and had many meals at the table. The homeowner responded quickly to any questions or issues. We recommend this home without hesitation. We had a wonderful family gathering!

excellent views and grand lake is a cute town. Overall the house was nice. The screen doors had issues with the a bottom part easily detaching. It was not a huge issue and seemed like wear and tear for a house with ok construction. We were surprised that the rental fee was taken for something which should be part of regular house maintenance.

Long Weekend in Grand Lake

We had 3 couples in our 50's stay at Eagles Nest in Grand Lake. Everything was as advertised with the great view and all the amenities. Check in and out was easy and well done with a friendly and very accessible host. Place was clean and well maintained and in great location for RMNP and activities in town. We had a great trip at this VRBO rental.

Great Week at Gateway to Rockies

Our family gathered from Alabama, Utah and Kentucky for a week at this wonderful home. We had a wonderful view of the lake. The bedrooms were thoughtfully and comfortably arranged. The kitchen well equipped. We enjoy taking turns cooking most nights. The children loved playing on the beach and kayaking. The adults too. The hottub was wonderful after a day of hiking and wrangling three small children. The property was minutes away from the entrance to the park and it was easy to drive in before 9AM and after 2 PM to enjoy the wildlife and the tundra.

Fantastic home with awesome views

Terrific home, well appointed, terrific floor plan and a spectacular outdoor deck for coffee, dinner or cocktails. Terrific view of the lakes and fireworks.

Enjoyable stay in great location

We had a great time at this comfy home! The owners had thought of everything we could possibly have needed to be comfortable and entertained. Everything was smooth. We had no issues with check in/out or access to the home or hot tub. Location was great with beautiful view of lake and very close to everything. There were full instructions for everything including the hummingbird feeder, which we all really enjoyed. We had plenty of space for all of us, were able to cook meals, make coffee, watch tv and play games. We appreciated the book and dvd libraries and the extensive game collection. The only downside was the fridge, which smelled like fish and had some black hairs in it, so it needed a better cleaning. Other than that, everything was great!

Really enjoyed our stay ... in particular sitting on the deck and looking out over the lake. Beds were very comfortable and linens were clean and nice. We rented a pontoon boat and spend an afternoon touring around the lake. We spotted a moose and baby in the water just off the island located in the lake. The gates were nice to close off the deck for the dogs so they could be outside with us too.

Great view of NYE fireworks

Wonderful family vacation home with gorgeous view

We stayed at this property in early August and couldn't have loved it more. We were a family of 5 and were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, the living room was spacious yet cozy. We enjoyed the hot tub after a day of hiking. But the real highlight is the deck. The view is gorgeous and we enjoyed meals outside overlooking the lake. Thanks Vandy we loved our stay!

Beautiful home with Lake view

Amazing Time with Family

Our family loved this property. It has gorgeous views of the lakes and mountains, and it's close to downtown Grand Lake. The property has everything you need and is very comfortable, and we especially liked the maps on the table. We look forward to staying again.

Spectacular views!

Wow. Wow. Wow. I can’t say enough of how absolutely amazing our stay was in this home! The snowy Christmas views are to die for! The house was clean, the pots and pans were newer and clean, the size of the house was perfect for our 7 adults, the hot tub felt great, we even got to sit in the deck on a sunny 17 degree day with our coffee and enjoy the views!!!! The communication with the owner was prompt and clear. Such an easy drive to the shops/restaurants on the “strip” and man- it was like out of a movie- such quaint little shops with friendly owners! We rented an ice fishing guide to fish right on grand lake, super easy 5 min drive from this house. We also rented snowmobiles and rode in RMNP. You will not regret renting this amazing home! (Oh!- if you go in the winter and there’s snow- you better have 4 wheel drive to get up the steep hill or you probably won’t make it. We had a 4 wheel drive and had no problems but we took it slow). I would definitely come here again!!

Our Stay

Overall the cabin is nice in a good location. However when we got there not only did all the sheets on every bed smell bad but there was no hand soap, shampoo, conditioner. I replied back and haven’t heard anything from them in days regarding this.
