“Sure, it’s a hostel- but still! Had a private double room which wasn’t cheap. Not properly vacuumed in the room when we checked in. Noise transferred through the walls. The bed didn’t have a top mattress so we could feel every spring in it and woke up when the other person moved because of the noise and the movement transferred. The verandah with a bbq etc was a proper let down as the pictures made us think it had beach view- but don’t be fooled like us, that verandah is from a restaurant with...

“The hostel is cosy and social. It’s not a party hostel, but people do socialise in the kitchen. The beds are the drawback here - they are rickety and every time someone moves in their bed, you can hear the springs. Also my bed moved every time the guy in the top bunk rolled around. I’m 193cm and couldn’t stretch out in the bed. Difficult to sleep. If you value your sleep, find another place. ”

“Things got stolen on two occasions. I asked the staff to check the cctv and they seemed very reluctant and then agreed to. They said where I was located was the one area they don’t have cctv. Overall I felt quite unsafe when staying there and the staff didn’t take my concerns very seriously at all, I think because they’re all travelling themselves and staying at the hostel. It doesn’t seem like there is any authority or professionalism. Other things. No towels to rent, but then saw others...

“It was good. What you would expect from a hostel. I did not see any plates or utensils available I was only there for one night so I just used my own but did not see anything written about getting it from the front desk but other people seemed to have utensils from the front desk. They also have signs that they will kick you out if you do not wash your dishes immediately so there was not a pile up of dishes - but the dishes seemed like they were half washed. Nothing new for hostels. ”
