After being let down with our original booking, we found the Black Lion Hotel.
It's set in a small, quiet village near the river.
We had a superb evening meal, the pub was busy in both the bar and restaurant area all evening, which is always a good sign.... the food was superb, service was excellent
The room we stayed in was quiet, clean, the bathroom was a good size, the bed was comfy.
The breakfast in the morning was superb quality made from local produce. ...

âIt was approx 15 mins walk to the main town of Llandudno, was clean and tidy and had a big bathroom, our room had a bathroom on a lower level so had to go down a few stairs. Unsure if other rooms had more accessable bathrooms but worth asking if your not very mobile.
Lovely breakfast but asked for it for 8am and got there at 8 but a bit slow on the service and received breakfast at 8:50.
All in all a very nice stay with friendly staff and clean and well presented rooms.â
âWe stayed for 2 nights and everything was excellent. Very clean and comfortable. Nathan and staff were most helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious from fruit juices, cereals and full Welsh breakfast. Would stay again.â
âThe hotel itself is an old and charming building with nice rooms although it is starting to look a little worn in places.
The restaurant on the other hand is newly built and served up some fantastic dinner. The staff are friendly and if you like charm and a fabulous sea view I would recommend it.â

"We arrived at 12.00, and our check in was at 15.00. Our plan was to ask if we could leave our bags and check in earlier. Before we even asked about the check in, the receptionist already offered to check us in directly. It was amazing and this made our whole experience wonderful.
The room was very clean, bathroom was big, bed was so soft and fluffy. We could also easily cast from the phone to the TV.
The location was perfect. It was very central and right around a lot of bars and restaurants, but you couldnât hear anything from outside if you were in the room.
Overall we really loved the Resident. And we are definitely coming back!"

"Stayed here for 2 nights. Beautiful hotel with a great staff. The room was kinda big. There is no cleaning in the room if you stay there for 2 nights. The room was very dusty and the sheets on the bed was dirty.
The bathroom was good and the shower was okey.
We could'nt hear anything from the rooms next to us so the isolation is good. "
"The photel is a old office or parliamentarian building, so it's kinda weird to walk the hallways to your room. When you step in to the hotel, you will probably be amazed, since the first impression of this place is, impressive. It's a really nice ground floor/atrium with a nice (?) restaurant. I had problems getting a good connection though to the web. However, a member of the staff helped me get online."
