“The hotel and pub were very pleasant. The rooms were well-equipped and the food was excellent. However, the service at the pub was inconsistent. “The hotell is next to a busy road so there is a lot of noise all day. Room was old and worn and not cleaned very well. Bathroom was OK, renovated but small and no place for your toiletries. Reception, lounge and breakfast area is very small and not that great. Would recommend other alternatives if available unless the price is very good ( under 75).”

“It’s a picturesque old pub with an extensive garden area and a large parking space. It’s quite classy indoors and we were impressed by both the sophisticated dinner menu and the food itself - very good.We were welcomed warmly and shown to the Cowdray Room, which opens on to the beer garden. That wasn’t a problem as the pub closes at 10, and then it was an advantage as we were able to sit outside for breakfast with the place to ourselves.
