“It was a great stay. It was our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and will certainly not be our last now with such a great experience we had at the House of 1833. Evan was an exceptional host/chef. He gave us a tour of the home and the history. The breakfast in the morning was incredible from the homemade apple cranberry muffin to the Greek Italian Mac & Cheese Spinach Souffle. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a quiet, yet close to town place to stay. ”

“This was such a great find. The rooms are immaculate. They’re not fancy by any means, but you can tell they take pride in cleanliness and presentation. The front desk staff were great, and they had a nice continental breakfast. I really liked the fact that we could park at the beach and have our own private section of the beach as well by staying there. I didn’t get to use the pool, but it had a nice area and upper deck to go with it. Would absolutely recommend!”
“Lovely staff! I went for a bday celebration and was pleasantly surprised to get an upgrade on my room. During the booking all my concerns were addressed and Josh was excellent at calming any fears of booking issues and made me extra excited about traveling to the Hotel. Great location to enjoy Foxwoods Casinos , Mohegan Sun, and even the Great Wolf Lodge. Fun fun fun!!”
“Very dirty place. It looks ok but was filthy. We got to choose from two rooms, and at first glance it looked ok. Very dirty floors, hairs from previous guests shaving around faucet, dirty shower curtain, my child itched all night and I hope it was not bed bugs- we slept with the light on rest of the stay… Dirty kitchen table and fridge, steep stairs and no elevator. Insects stuck in bathroom ceiling, very loud AC, lots of trash outside the door, the office was in such a mess etc.”
