“I really enjoyed my getaway night here. The room was like a small apartment, very neat and clean; a few small details could be adjusted, but they were minor and I had great communication with the staff when I needed to find out how to work something. Comfy bed as well, and there’s a beautiful walk right next to the lake, which is only a few steps to get to. I would definitely come again.”

“What a wonderful stay!! Patricia the hostess was very attentive and kind. We arrived to a beautiful home on the water which was clean and cozy. We loved being able to walk the town, ride the trails in our ATV and having bon fires at night with the reflection of lights on the water was magical. We will definitely be back!! Highly recommend ”

“The place is very spacious and clean. We enjoyed the stay. The only thing is that there's no privacy screen for the washroom window and the washroom is facing the road. Location is good, 30 mins from the Algonquin provincial park West gate and 20 mins from Huntsville. Overall a good experience staying here.”

“Clean and exactly as advertised! Great stay”

“We arrived at the cottage and there was a strange odour in the room. Then we noticed the furnishings were tattered and the cottage itself was poorly maintained. And though we paid we left after 10 minutes refusing to stay in this inferior cottage. We are now awaiting a refund.”

“The property itself was nice and overall good, but we had a major issue with the hot water during our stay. When we contacted the host, we were told a plumber couldn't come for a couple of days and nothing could be done. To make matters worse, when we requested a concession for the severe inconvenience, the host ignored our calls and completely denied any refund.”

“The setting was beautiful, a shimming lake and a burst of colour from autumn foliage. Unfortunately the cottage was lacking. Shower door won’t stay closed, not a dresser, shelf, or hook for clothing, oven not clean, rack in backwards and fell out, extreme floor slanting. But, the most upsetting was the Lack of Communication with the host and the agency, The Muskoka Waterfront Retreat. We wanted a 3 night reservation, but mistakenly entered 2. When we received confirmation, and realized our...

“Prompt responses to questions, clean, warm and had amenities as listed.”

“We had a terrific family gathering there. Very clean, spacious with large table in kitchen. Rooms were bright and beds very comfortable. Spoke with owner who was very quick to reply. Close to hiking trails and beach. So perfect! Thank you for sharing!”

“Overall great place - worked for our stay. ”

“Great location and close to all amenities.”
