“This lake cabin is darling! The decor is perfect for summer or winter visits. We enjoyed the proximity to the fishing access as that was our primary activity. The beds are comfortable and the living area quite large. Outside decks were great too. And I can’t even begin to describe the well stocked kitchen! It puts my home kitchen to shame! It had everything and more…Also there are wild flowers off the deck facing the lake. Nice touch! We will be back. ”

Only critique...the furnishings were fairly sparse in the bedrooms. No dressers or decor. Fairly plain. Would definitely recommend! Thanks for allowing us to share your beautiful home.”

“My 87yo mother and I were looking for a place in the mountains and the Bird House delivered. Quiet and secluded but only 15mins from Florence it was a wonderful mix of dirty roads and nearby amenities like the Back Yard Taphouse. Dealing with the homeowners and their family was an easy text with quick response. We enjoyed exploring the chicken coop and tree house on the property. The house is well stocked with all the necessities in the kitchen and bathroom. There wasn’t anything we needed that...

“Had a great short stay while visiting family. Even with an infant and a 3-year-old, we felt comfortable and had a nice place to reset. The decor was fabulous, the overall vibe was great. We had to make some adjustments to avoid our kiddos getting into anything but wasn’t a big issue. We also didn’t use the loft, but would be great for older kids or two couples looking to explore the area. ”

“What a fabulous place to stay. Very clean and great location. I especially enjoyed the back patio where I set up to work a little and watch the deer come in and out of the yard. Loved the quirky kitchen ceiling decor. Everything we needed was supplied. Our stay was during the 4th of July and the house at end of street had a huge party ( which was ok with us) but they took up the two parking spaces out front. We will definitely check for availability to rebook in the near future.”
