“Amazing breakfast buffet with Japanese and Western options. The hotel has private and public onsens. Very good facilities, including a sauna. Unlike other places, it was free of charge and without prior reservation. 5 min walk to the city center. The hotel offers free regular shuttles but it was so close and pretty that we just walked ”

“Fabulous stay. Clean, comfy, and within walking distance to the entirety of Kusatsu Onsen. The japanese breakfast was excellent. Relaxing indoors and outdoors onsen despite being in a town full of them. Bit of a language barrier for some of the staff but nothing that should surprise anyone who've travelled around Japan for a bit. Pick the yukata that catches your eye and be sure to stroll through town clad in it during the evening.”

“The hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. It was so comfortable for our family of 5 - very homey and welcoming. The tea and treat upon check-in was a nice surprise and delicious. The onsen was a relaxing bonus! And the food was amazing and a wonderful experience. We had 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners and they were all...

“Kinta and his family are very great hosts. The breakfast every morning was a delight. Evening dinner meals were even better. A very warm and cozy hotel. A great little bar area. Very good rental gear. All in all an absolutely top hotel experience. 10 out of 10! We would highly recommend staying at Kinta Naeba. ”
