“Stayed 2 nights to rest and recover before going to Tokyo. The hotel was a short walk from the station with idyllic scenery with beautiful Sakura and mountains. The personelle were super nice and helpful. They provided a free bus ride to the snow monkey park. The room was spacious and comfy. The hotel dinner and breakfast were amazing. “Det här är ett otroligt prisvärt alternativ. Vi bodde i ett traditionellt japanskt rum som var enkelt men fantastiskt vackert. Fräscha delade toaletter. Hotellet bjöd på skjuts till tågstationen, till aporna i parken Jigokudani och till onsen, japanskt bad. Bad på byns äldsta onsen, ett otroligt vackert och lyxigt bad i ett närliggande hotell ingick i priset liksom lån av kimono och skor. Personalen var exceptionellt hjälpsamma och trevliga. “Very friendly staff and exquisit food on top of that. First time visiting a ryokan and was not disappointed! Three private onsens that i could use and very foreign friendly overall. Highly recommend to visit if you want a taste of ryokan life on your trip and worry of your tattoes forsbid you from using the onsen - it is totally ok att this place!”

“The room was everything I dreamed of having in an Onsen. It was beautifully appointed and impeccably clean. We chose the room with the western beds and found it quite comfortable and very spacious. The staff was extremely helpful. Spoke English well, and the food was amazing. The presentation of both our breakfast and dinner was a beautiful display of Japanese aesthetics. We loved the mineral bath, and we love the fact that we had an indoor and an outdoor mineral pool.”

“Fabulous stay. Clean, comfy, and within walking distance to the entirety of Kusatsu Onsen. The japanese breakfast was excellent. Relaxing indoors and outdoors onsen despite being in a town full of them. Bit of a language barrier for some of the staff but nothing that should surprise anyone who've travelled around Japan for a bit. Pick the yukata that catches your eye and be sure to stroll through town clad in it during the evening.”

“Staff was super friendly. They took us to the ski gear rental shop and back again to return the stuff. Their English was ok, enough to explain what buses to take, recommend pistes, etc. We even received a small gift when leaving. I recommend reserving the 3 meal course.”

“Very cute Ryokan hotel. We booked a Japanese style room including dinner and breakfast, food was very tasty if you like traditional Japanese food. If you prefer other cuisines you might opt for booking a room that doesn’t have food included. Staff is very friendly! We booked private onsen and that was also very nice. Definitely recommend this hotel! ”

“My friend had accidentally lost her backpack on the train just before we had arrived to the hotel for check in. As soon as we arrived at the hotel we asked to borrow their phone to call the lost in found center at the train station. After we explained the situation the hotel staff asked us what train we were on and what the backpack looked like and offered to call the station for us to help locate the backpack.
