“After a long journey with heavy traffic it was a pleasure to have a warm greeting by the owners and to rest in this beautiful cottage . We had a lovely time at Lympne wild animal park, and the next day at Canterbury cathedral . Would highly recommend this accommodation and its setting in the countryside is just perfect ”

“We had a fantastic stay in the Stables. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. There were two bedrooms, one with two single beds and the other with a double bed. This one had also an additional en-suite bathroom. Very nice. The kitchen, dining room and lounge were all proper sized. “Lovely stay at the stables. They have been converted to a high standard and were very comfortable for our family with two small children. It was great that there was a stair gate in the top bedroom as there isn’t a door. Had a nice meal at the local pub and in easy reach by car of local visiting sites. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and let us wander around their lovely garden. Would recommend. ”

“We stayed at Buttercup Cottage for four nights. It is located 5 mins drive from Rye town centre in a quiet, private location with allocated parking. The studio is spacious and the facilities are excellent for self-catering. We also ate twice at Layla's, a turkish restaurant, which is highly recommended. The town gets busy in the holiday season so you may need to book. The cottage also has a very helpful guide for visitors with lots of tips and advice to improve your stay. The shower extractor...

“My mum, sister and I had a 3 night stop over at the retreat. We had a great time despite the weather. The retreat was absolutely fantastic. The pictures do not give it justice. Would also highly recommend the 2 sawyers pub at the top of the road. Great food great atmosphere made us feel welcome.”

“We stayed for four nights in June and were delighted with the facilities provided. One king size bedroom, one double bedroom and a small room suitable for a child (we brought our own crib for the baby). Small details like the stair gate and a few toys helped too. The patio furniture was well used as we had glorious weather. Staplecross is well placed for exploring Rye. Hastings, local vineyards and National Trust properties. We would like to return next year!”
