“This is a beautiful home with plenty of room for the 15 of us. Everything was as described. The yard and beach area was great for the kids. We enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle boats and having a camp fireto make smores. We had a lot of family fun on the pontoon and fishing was good. We created so many great memories with our adults kids and grandkids. The host was very good with communication and we highly recommend this home. ”

“This was our 6th return visit to the Cotter cottage. The lovely log home and the picturesque lake view never disappoint. We look forward to going back again next summer.”

“The property was clean, well stocked and the hot tub was amazing. Communication was wonderful the owner always responded quickly with any answers I needed. The use of the kayak and lake are wonderful amenities, we unfortunately couldn’t use kayak, too heavy for my daughter and I to put on car and due to health issues to heavy for me to carry to lake, but a definite plus. Lake conveniently located, we fished, swam and watched sunrise. Definitely worth going back and recommending.”

“Great home on the water with all the outdoor games. House was exactly as advertised and worked great for a family vacation. Renting a boat and having it docked at the house was perfect. Beautiful sunrise with morning coffee. Would definitely rent again!”

“We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage. It has the best view of the river and sunsets. We had a lot of fun kayaking and boating on the river and seeing all the nature. The cottage is a cute set up and lots of outdoor spaces.”

“We needed a place to stay close to our friends and close to the side-by-side trails. This fit the bill perfectly. Plus it had a huge patio for our morning coffee and a nice “game room“ for evenings. It was a wonderful three days and we wished we could’ve stayed longer.”

“Clean, cool and comfortable! Honestly can't recommend enoughl. The open floor space is great for socializing without feeling cramped. Coffee pods, shower items and laundry detergent/sheets were kindly provided. The neighborhood is quiet. And best of all, the back deck is incredibly calming! Watch the lovely Chippewa river go by, check out all the beautiful native birds visiting the feeder (get your Merlin app ready!), and enjoy the turtles, trout and other lovely wildlife who come to visit!...

“Extremely lucky to be able to book this place as it is across the street from our place. This worked out perfectly for our daughter & son’s (not saying in law, because he is like a son to us) wedding reception at The Castle. The property was perfect for Friday night pizza party (Hixson’s pizza!) before the big event Saturday. The boys stayed here and LOVED IT! The cornhole game, firepit & hot tub were a hit! Thank you soooooo much for a great stay!”

The house is cozy inside and out, we saw lots of birds and even deer while sitting outside. We also used the tubes and tubed from up stream to the house, lots of fun!! Can’t wait toco e back!!”
