“A change of plans took me to Hexham and the Beaumont hotel for what was to be a very pleasant experience. Arrived two hours early and was only looking to store my bagage as I fully expected to be asked to wait until regular check-in was open. Instead the hotel went the extra mile and had my room ready in a bit more than half an hour. And the Abbey and the pleasant park just across the road it was very easy to spend those 30 minutes in relaxing way. I got a spacious twin room on the 1st floor...

“This tiny Inn is definitely worth a visit! The new owners were very friendly and welcoming and the room was comfortable and very clean. The history of the building meant that the bar is tiny, but very welcoming - we spent a great evening drinking and chatting with locals. No food available on the first night, but the owners were happy to recommend and book somewhere for us to eat. Their kitchen was open the second night and the quality was excellent. “Lovely location near Hexham with stately home vibes and comfortable bedrooms. The bar overlooks the golf course and has lots of nooks and crannies to settle in with a glass of whatever to people watch. The restaurant has a very good menu and the staff are attentive and make sure all is OK with your meal. Breakfast is self serve with full platters of tasty food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”
