Pensionat i High Wycombe

“Initially, the manager of this guest house was helpful and offered to set up the beds as two singles instead of a double, which was better for us. We had to pay £10 extra to check in 1pm instead of 3pm, but at least that helped with our plans for the day. Unfortunately, during the stay we encountered a number of issues, the most serious being that we appear to have been bitten by bed bugs. Further issues included a strong mouldy smell in the whole accommodation (it was hard to let fresh air in...

“The staff and host were very friendly and helpful. The location is about a 25 minute walk to the metro station. Excellent English breakfast. I highly recommend staying here.”

“Rooms are old and have been lived. A lot of rust, broken furniture, bathrooms need a remodel. Hot water yes, very hot, cold water was hard to get as the shower was stuck on hot, almost burned myself. All in all heavily lived. Shops are close, free parking for up to 3 cars. Full kitchen with oven, microwave, kettle, fridge/freezer. But again heavily lived. Free WiFi. Beds are not that great. Good for a night or two maximum.”

“The was clean, comfortable. Available parking. Helpful staff”

“Had a lovely stay Very helpful staff and room beautifully clean. Very near to shop and not too far from town will stay again happily.”

“Worked well, cheapest place by far in the area and room was quite nice. Staff were very friendly”

“Ok läge för vår resa. Bra parkering. En natt och vidare.”

“Cutlery althogh not used- dirty, bed horrible- no sleep ”

“A really nice place to stay with a lovely hostess (very helpful!) We got our room just under the roof. A lot of stairs (but everyday exercise is good for you!) Lovely view out over nearby area through roof window. The beds was on each side of the bathroom so not something fir lovers but after nearly 30 years marriage it doesn't matter. Good English breakfast, made while waiting. Could take some time but definitely worth the wait! :) If ever nearby again, we sure will check out Alexandra...

The small room gets incredibly hot and stuffy in the summer, and the fan provided didn't help at all. Since our windows faced the street, the traffic noise was just awful, making it impossible to sleep. The bedding had a very strong, irritating smell of laundry detergent, and the mattress on one of the beds was ancient and uncomfortable. On the positive side, the place is clean, the...
