“This was the perfect mountain getaway for us. We stayed there last month and it could not have been better. Everything was simple, secluded but very convenient to downtown. The porch was wonderful after a long afternoon of activities. You have complete privacy and can hear water in the distance. Communicate was great. Definitely look forward to staying again sometime.”

“The best dog friendly rental we have stayed in so far. The house was clean, the beds comfortable, nicely updated and the rustic decor charming. Scaly mountain is between Highlands NC and Dillard Ga, so close enough either way to enjoy shopping and restaurants but rural enough to feel like you live in the country. Lots of dog friendly hiking trails nearby. Loved the front porch with its swing and cool evenings, and the fire pit. Definitely recommend.”

“great property, close to main street”

“The pictures do not do this cottage justice. It is so cozy and charming. My husband and I stayed here for a week with our 2 kids (5 and 9) and we had a wonderful time. It is very comfortable and the set up is perfect for us with our 2 kids - they loved their own room with the twin beds. The house is stocked with everything we needed, the fireplace was relaxing and cozy in the evenings, and the location is amazing! Lovely 5-10 minute walk to Main Street. I walked to town every morning for coffee....

Quiet; clean; super neighborhood to take walks and close to town and restaurants. See you again next summer! ”

“Very fine and well cared for home, splendidly located and outfitted. The roads are quite narrow and curving, as one would expect in a mountain setting. Good nearby restaurants although parking can be challenging. We brought our small border terrier and she too had a fine time. Top recommendation. ”
