“Fourth floor walk up. No elevator. Just basics plus coffee. Two small bedrooms and kitchen area, all crowded with beds. Good a/c and wifi. Excellent location, close to Central Park, shopping, restaurants, transportation.”

“Cons:-Check in was rough. 2 separate addresses were provided which confused things and the host preferred to play chat tag as opposed to calling to efficiently communicate. Lock box was hard to find, attached to something other than what was described and the key was in the wrong lock box. -Lock on the outside of the door to the apt itself was very hard to lock/unlock. -toilet is very small, if you are bigger than a small child you have to sit side saddle on it due to how close to the wall it...

“The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Sadly, the bathtub in the bathroom would clog up after showering. The tiniest trash can was all we had along with 1 pan to cook with. Also, there wasn’t enough blankets for 5 people so we had to go out and buy one. But Toju was nice enough to Cash App us back.”

“I made a booking for 2 with Expedia to stay in NYC. The booking’s name was “5 beds modern apt near Times Square”. After I made the booking I paid fully for it and asked in the chat if the apartment was private or shared. The host, Christina responded and assured me it was private, followed by a message from her asking for the name of the guests who are staying to be able let the building know. Before I took my flight I let the host know my estimated arrival time and had no response from her....

“The location great. Very convenient to upper west side. That was the positive.The negatives- kitchen was not very clean. We ended up using plastic utensils as several forks and knives were dirty.- coffee maker didn’t work- debris on ground of kitchen- the apartment is dark! The pictures are not totally reflective- no AC in the main bedroom. Window AC in the main room- only 1 key!! Not sure how you can sleep 8 people and only have 1 key.
