Valley Views - rural studio unit

Escape the city and see the stars at this rural hideaway with breathtaking views.

Located 15 minutes drive north from Nelson city, a unique converted container studio unit sits on a rural 5 acre property beside the main house.
It has it's own entrance off our shared driveway.

Handy to Happy Valley Adventure Park and stunning Cable Bay - a 15 minute drive down the valley.

The space
Valley Views studio unit is set on a rural lifestyle property, elevated on a hill.
This is a unique space, originally created from a converted shipping container - well insulated and double glazed.

You'll have your own space with great views looking straight down the valley.
Open plan setup with double bed, toilet and shower, fridge and wardrobe.

Ask Google to play some tunes as the room has a Google nest device.

Guest access
We are elevated on a hill property accessed via a gravel driveway.
Plenty of off street parking.

Other things to note
There's an awesome river swimming spot just down the drive - within walking distance from the studio.

Views are absolutely stunning, has everything you need for a blissful stay! Suitable for business and a sneaky getaway. Accesible to Nelson and surrounding areas. Host were very polite and allowed me to do as i needed too. Highly recommend this property 100%.

Christmas eve gateway

Cute, charming place with a beautiful view. We wished to stay longer, we would happy go back. Great relaxing gateway. Kitchen had more utilities than we thought!

False Advertising DISSAPOINTING

Only booked the place as it had a spa and view otherwise would have just booked at a top 10. Traveled 8 hours and got there and no spa at all. The place was advertised as having a spa. Looked on line when I got to the place and was still being advertised to book with a spa included. Rang owner and she said that in the description the spa was only for use at a certain time of the year so I sent screen shots to her as there was no such description and was false advertising. Got money back and traveled 8 hours home the same day. Hope they have changed the description and make it clear for other people for the future as I wouldn't want anyone else being disappointed and wasting peoples time and travel.

Beautiful spot

Lovely location, and a really nice, well thought out unit. Only issue was that we happened to be there when it was really windy - the unit shook a bit with the wind and there was an intermittent vibrating noise (possibly from the roof?) that made for a bit of a restless night for the light sleeper. Otherwise brilliant.

Peaceful rural retreat

The view is stunning! Such a restful place to stay at the end of a full day of sightseeing. Comfortable and clean. Just enough equipment to cook a simple meal of local mussels and enjoy with some local wine as the sun sets.

Da die Unterkunft ein umgebauter Container ist, bietet sie naturgemäss nicht allzu viel Platz, ist aber überraschend umfangreich ausgestattet. Der Weg zum Studio führt über eine am Ende recht steile Schotterstrasse, was bei ungünstiger Witterung resp. je nach Auto nicht ganz einfach sein dürfte, dafür ist die Aussicht vom Studio auf dem Hügel hervorragend.

Tranquil hideaway

We really loved staying here. The accommodation is really cosy for two people wanting a tranquil getaway from the hustle and bustle of life. The property is perfect for chilling out and enjoying the beautiful valley views that can be seen straight out of the windows or enjoy sunrise from the luxury of being in bed. The kitchen is much better equipped than described. The bathroom is perfectly adequate. The bed is really comfortable and there is plenty of hanging space. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

My accomodation exceeded expectations. It was such a beautiful haven away from the business of the world. Warm and sunny with the most incredible views. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location is central to some really beautiful nature spots snd very close to Nelson. Lara was a wonderful considerate host . Would book again in a flash .
