You get what you pay forBooked this Vrbo stay last-minute for one night in Houston due to an emergency situation. The place served its purpose, but the experience had some clear issues.Before arrival, communication started off solid. The host was responsive and informative. However, things shifted when I mentioned having a few family members (my mom and sisters) stop by briefly. I was told there would be an additional 100 fee just for visitors, and it was also implied I might be trying to throw a party, which wasn’t the case. That felt unnecessary and off-putting.Once inside, there were several problems:•No shower curtain, which caused water to spill everywhere and created a slipping hazard•Broken couch that was sagging to the floor•One bedroom light not working•No basic essentials like hand soap providedI also reached out about the shower curtain and didn’t get a response.On the positive side, the space was generally clean and the host seemed polite overall. That said, the home is smaller than it appears in the listing photos.Overall, it worked for a quick, last-minute stay, but there are definitely areas that need improvement.
