âVery friendly staff in the reception and security very polite and always greeted you with respect. Room clean and fully equipped like refrigirator and coffemaker. Maybe room somewhat not updated but alright. I stayed for a full week and was very pleased. â

âLuxe accommodations, amazing staff! I wish the restaurant menus had better kid options and the pool had more towels but those were tiny things. Overall, we were very pleased and comfortable staying at the Conrad! Will return next time Iâm in DTLAâ

âThis was the perfect place to stay for my short work trip. It was extremely clean and felt very secure. The room was spacious and had a little desk where I could work. Even their simple breakfast coffee and pastry were perfect before I headed to work. I also greatly appreciated that they offered on-site parking, which was also secure. âQuite expensive but we had a really nice stay so it was worth it. On our long trip thru cali this was the only hotel who lived up to the expectations. Close to the arena otherwise not much to do or see downtown LA imo. Wouldve loved to stay for more days!â

âBra hotell, service och frĂ€scht. Men ej prisvĂ€rt och trodde det skulle vara lyx men pĂ„minde i hall gĂ„ngarna om motell. Parkering för gĂ€ster kostar 55USD plus skatt, per natt. Frukost ingĂ„r heller inte. SĂ„ kĂ€nde mig faktiskt lurad utifrĂ„n det.
Sen Ă€r omrĂ„det fullt av hemlösa. Vad man fĂ„r rĂ€kna med downtown. Men Ă€r besviken pĂ„ att hotellet gör det sĂ„ jobbigt för en med dyra priser pĂ„ parkering och frukost. Dyr mat i restaurangerna trots mycket basic. Nja till detta hotellâ

âClean room but with a slightly musty smell. We could hear the people sitting downstairs even though they were not terribly loud. Chinatown LA wasnât very nice in comparison with others and mainly seemed like a run-down part of LA. Low score for environmental friendliness due to plastic cutlery etc at breakfast. Breakfast was served in a little side room -not too cozy but serviceable. â

"Really nice hotel but canât really see why anyone would like to stay in this part of LA unless your doing business in downtown or have friends to visit there like I had. Downtown LA is not a place to be for tourists if you want to see the best of LA. I felt completely safe though on hotel premises, in my single room I had a safe for my valuables and during day time it is of course safe to walk around on the streets nearby but of course keep out/away from the Skid Row area with all the tents. The homeless people are nice and I never felt threatened but look ahead where you are going on the streets and donât look down into your phone.
Single room with a skyview at almost the top but a 13 floor building wonât give so much skyview at all in downtown LA.
Some reviewers here have praised the shower, I looked into my shower and thought thatâs just a regular shower head but OMG that water pressure was superb!
So I am still recommending this hotel for anyone having a purpose to visit downtown LA (not just random touristing of LA) or a romantic getaway where you want to stay in and old fashioned hotel, enjoy the rooftop bar and going by taxi to a restaurant at the evening when it is dark outside (avoid walking when it is dark!).
The tiles in the bathrooms of my single room was really beautiful and the bed just perfect.
So this hotel canât do much about its surroundings but the historic elevators could get some more love by hotel management.
