âA very nice hotel indeed. Very good facilities, the details with fridge, microwave and safe in the room makes a big difference if you stay for more than a couple of days. âWhat a lovely experience. Fairway Guesthouse was sublimely superb. As a location with an absolutely stunning view of the golf course overlooking the sea and Durban cityscapes, as well as the absolutely wonderful friendly service, that simply made us feel home away from home. âBack for a second year. The property is a beautiful house in North Durban, near a small shopping area. My bedroom was very large and well-appointed, with a large bathroom attached. This year, things are not quite as new and well-maintained as last year.
I enjoyed meeting other Comrades runners staying at the house, this year including elites.
The best thing about this house is the housekeeper Nklaka, who is unbelievably friendly, caring and efficient.â

Our spacious room opened onto a terrace overlooking a beautiful pool and garden area.
A great breakfast. Staff were excellent always smiling, in a great leafy quiet residential area and only a 5 minute walk to many shops and restaurants.

âStay was good. Shower đż head needs some attention. Leaking. Mattress needs to be changed slowly caving in in the centre. Sleeper couch mattress is horrendous. Sleeper couch was grubby. Needs a good clean. Overall the place was spotlessly clean. Came across 1 cockroach. Pool was good.

âNice, friendly staff. Very, very nice room with ultra large balcony/terrace. Pool fabulous. Breakfast room and lounge had unfortunately the atmosphere of a funeral parlour and had very uncomfortable (but nice looking) chairs. Would come back though. For the room, pool and terrace. And for the service!

The room is comfortable. We had a room in the direction to the sea, with a good view.
The pentry is simple and only contains a micro and a fridge, but it is OK placed for dinner just 10 min walk away.
