This impressive penthouse sits atop the luxury Summit building and has beautiful views of the downtown skyline. Its large great room complete with full kitchen, dining table for 8, and 4 bedrooms make it perfect for a group of friends, bridal party or family. Small events are allowed but must be approved and are subject to different pricing.

Neighborhood Description
This luxurious roof top penthouse is located atop the Summit Building, a boutique luxury building in the desirable Westside neighborhood with shady streets and great local restaurants. The Summit is walking distance to the Crossroads, Kaufman Performing Arts Center, and Power & Light KC and is located above the popular Chez Elle Creperie and Coffeehouse. Some of the best places to eat in the neighborhood include Blue Bird Bistro & Ibis Bakery for breakfast, and West Side Local for dinner.

Getting around
The quickest way to travel around downtown is definitely by Uber, which you can get anywhere you want from this residence under $10. Most Ubers cost $6 - $8 ranging depending where you want to go downtown. If weather permits taking a Bird or Spin scooter is a great option and serves for lots of fun. There's usually around 10 scooters within a block of this residence at one time. You can get anywhere you want downtown within 5 - 10 minutes on one of these scooters. The Street Car is less than a mile away, which will take you anywhere in town between the River Market and Union Station.

Girlfriend Stay
Perfect unit for four friends. Tons of space and a beautiful veranda to spend evenings. Only drawback is one parking space. Otherwise, walking distance to great restaurants and short drives to various venues.

Excellent Luxury condo with great food surrounding you
The location is great, very easy to get to downtown and the interstate. The condo is high quality and the appliances are top of the line. It is starting to show wear and tear as VRBO’s do; however, that being said, the owner is great and quick to accommodate whatever you need and fix problems. A great view of downtown from the very large patio. Beds are comfortable, ample pillows, temperature was perfect. There are fans in most rooms if needed but I never even had to look at the thermostat, it was already the perfect temp and stayed there. We loved that there was ample soap, towels, shampoo, cooking essentials, etc provided for us. Many places give you no extra TP, no kleenex, no soap, etc, so this was a very nice change of pace and greatly appreciated. To know: There are a lot of codes to remember to access the various areas, so make sure everyone in your party has all of them written down. The building code refers to the front door of the units on the street. The door from the garage is not the same. We had to learn 4 different codes, so that was a little frustrating, but we did like the security. The garage is a very tight turn and there was evidence that many vehicles had not quite done it successfully. So if you drive an escalade or large truck or something, you may not be able to get into the garage. It’s kind of like an S and there just is no extra area to adjust, it’s only one lane in. Our minivan did it fine, though we were holding our breath.

We were here for our son’s wedding. The location was very close to the wedding venue. We very much enjoyed the location. It was very spacious and the balcony area was great. We would rent this location again.

KC trip
The manager was great to deal with but the property was not great. AC stopped working 48 hrs before we left . The house was 95 degrees. We had to sleep with the doors open and move beds to the kitchen.. The ice maker was not in working order. The master washer and dryer was just for looks I guess because it didn’t work. One of the bedroom fans was so loud you couldn’t use it. . Master faucets need to be replaced because they just spin . Outdoor are is not finished as the picture shows and the BBQ grill did t work. One of the bathroom sinks was not anchored down so it just moves all the time. I payed over 6k for this place and the owner would only reimburse one night. I am taking further action with the situation. Very disappointed as we had people over for my son’s birthday and I had to pay additional money to send them to a hotel.

Property could be great, but it is not well maintained
Such a cool family room and outdoor area. This should be a fantastic property. However, it is not being taken care of. HVAC was frozen when we got there, so we had to sleep outside where is was cooler. Master shower plumbing is loose and a problem waiting to happen. Master sink faucets have barely working handles. Powder bath sink is not anchored or connected. Several doorstops missing and holes in the walls. Electrical outlets missing or pulling out from the wall. Air filter was a year old and filthy. I own 11 properties and we try to keep them from getting away from us. I inspect them all personally to avoid this.

Spectacular View, Open & Spacious
This property has a fantastic view; large skyline patio; open living, kitchen, dining; gorgeous fireplace and wine fridges. The kitchen is well stocked, and Lance was the best host we have ever had at a VRBO. Parking was not a problem nor the elevator. Great restaurants across the street, fabulous crepe and coffee shop located under the penthouse, and amazing bakery across the street. Super close to the Plaza for shopping and entertainment. Great property to connect and relax with family & friends!
