“This property was the favorite lodging of the trip. Amazingly, it was not full. It is within 100 yards of Hawi’s main attraction, Kohala Zipline. The main building forms a square around a lawn-dominated garden: A vintage roadside motel combined with a cloister. Good dining choices are within a short walking or a slightly longer driving distance. Nearby sights/sites of interest include Pololu Beach and two churches in a New England style, both of which look great in the tropical setting.”

The hosts were thoughtful and welcoming, and they even provided yogurt and fresh fruit for us in the morning, which was such a nice touch. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. “The “marketing” photograph on Expedia was informative and true! Through the room’s window there was a beautiful view of grass in the foreground and the ocean beyond. (Even better from outside, standing on the adjacent mown grass.) The owner was friendly and helpful. It is quiet and pleasant. Nearby (a short drive) Honoka’a is a pleasant and unspoiled town with several dining choices.
