Up to Western standards for anybody traveling from abroad who have high expectations in terms of cleanliness and enclosed showers that doesnt get the bathroom totally soaked which a huge plus for me. “Having spent two nights at Swarga I couldn’t be happier! The hotel is bang in the centre of historical Kathmandu with lots of sight, restaurants and shopping around.
The hotel is very beautiful, clean and friendly and my room, the heritage suite, was nothing short of spectacular. Incredibly clean, stylish and modern but still very authentic and traditional. The hotel is an oasis in the bustle of Kathmandu with a lovely courtyard offering shade and tranquility.

“Unfortunately not a very good hotel. The air conditioner is blowing right in the bed, making it impossible to turn it on when you sleep. And when you turn the AC off there is no air left in the room. And unfortunately, it is not possible to open the window. So no ventilation in the room at all. When you shower the water from the shower goes into the bedroom. And you can smell mold in the room. The staff was however very friendly and tried to help us, but in the end, we had to change the hotel....
