A Beautiful, Charming Kill Devil Hills Beach Retreat
This 3-Bedroom, 2-Bathroom beach retreat offers the opportunity to enjoy the serene natural setting of the Outer Banks. Take a short stroll in the morning to watch the stunning sunrise over the Atlantic, relax on the front porch and enjoy the fresh ocean breezes, and take advantage of the grassy yard and available picnic table for fun outdoor meals. Edwards is in a premiere location to make the most of your time on the Outer Banks, MP 9.5 in Kill Devil Hills. The home is set one block from the beach... a quick stroll and you will be digging your toes in the sand. Great area attractions are just around the corner. Guests have easy access to unique beach shops, restaurants with tasty local flavor, fun family attractions, and Outer Banks landmarks.

When you pull up to this gorgeous beach cottage, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time to a simpler time on the Outer Banks. Take advantage of the plentiful parking under the double covered carports and out on the sidewalk. In a locked area underneath, you'll also find easy access to a Washer and Dryer so you can readily get those bathing suits and beach towels ready for another expedition in the sand (Washer/Dryer not accessible via the main house - only under the carport).

Up on the Main Level, enjoy your time together as a family in the spacious Living Area with high ceilings and wooden paneling that set Edwards apart from other homes on the Outer Banks. Gather around the Flat Screen TV for family movie night or simply relax on the cozy furniture as you listen to the sound of the rain against the windows on a summer afternoon. Cook some fresh, local seafood in the Kitchen to enjoy at the Bar or the picnic-style Dining Area nearby. Enjoy easy mornings with a cup of coffee and a cool breeze out on the Covered Deck and let all your worries wash away with the sound of the sea. When you need to get some rest, relax in the Queen Master Bedroom with a Bathroom with a Shower, the Full Bedroom, or the Bedroom with 2 Twin Beds. A Full Hallway Bathroom with a Tub/Shower Combo keeps everyone comfortable throughout the week. Whether you choose to spend your vacation with your toes in the sand or reading a book on the privacy of your cozy deck, Edwards will be the perfect place for you and your family year after year.

Near So Many Great Restaurants and Attractions
Situated in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, Edwards' great location makes it easy to walk to restaurants and local attractions. A mere 200 feet to the north you find the brand new brewery and tasting room, Swells'a Brewing Beer Company (recently opened Summer 2021). Two hundred feet in the opposite direction you can easily walk to Kill Devil Grill – a favorite restaurant of locals and visitors alike. Just down the side road, you can find another fave, Ladles Soups, featuring the best soups, salads, and sandwiches on the beach! A short drive away are Mama Kwan's Tiki Bar & Grill, Miller's Seafood & Steak House, Stack'em High Pancakes, Dirty Dick's Crab House, & more! Easily shop for all the supplies you'll need during your trip at the nearby Food Lion, Harris Teeter, or Publix supermarkets.

A couple of miles to the south, cast a line from the Nags Head Fishing Pier or visit Jockey's Ridge State Park and climb the tallest sand dune on the Atlantic coast. Head a mile to the north and stop by the Wright Brothers National Monument to learn about America's history of aviation and the first powered flight that occurred right off the local sand dunes! Afterward, swing by Lost Treasure Golf to try your luck at a fun treasure-themed mini-golf course or, if it's raining, catch the latest Blockbuster at the nearby movie theater. Whether you spend your days playing on the beach, casting your line out in the ocean, or exploring fun shops around town, you'll feel relaxed and at peace when you stay in this beach cottage!

Great little beach house

This is an older, one story home with everything a small family needs for a successful beach vacation. The beds are comfortable enough, everything was clean when we arrived, and the realty company was excellent to work with. The location is super convenient to a beach access point BUT there are a lot of steps, so if you’re planning to use a beach cart this makes it a little tricky. We went a few flocks down to a beach access without stairs.
