Welcome to Casa De Paz

Centrally located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills! Casa de Paz or Peaceful House. Walking distance to new Publix grocery store, restaurants and activities like putt-putt. Spend your days at the beach or cooking out in the spacious backyard. Well-suited for a large family or multiple households vacationing together. One of the very few streets with pedestrian crosswalks that ensures safe crossing to the public beach access while also offering the quiet sound side neighborhood.

The ground floor is not available to guests.

The cottage has a rear deck overlooking a large backyard. The yard is not fenced. We have added seating on the deck to enjoy time or dinner outside. Walk to the backyard to play corn hole or swing in the hammock.

The house was clean and location was good! We had a great time and would stay again! The only cons I have that could be easy to improve by the property manager the toilet paper& paper towels provide was very little we bought more, there was no trash bags other than the one already in the trash bin, No wash clothes and the master bathroom the towel hanger was loose and to far away from the shower

Casa De Paz was exactly the type of place we were looking for to spend our beach family vacation. It was spacious, comfortable, clean and a great open kitchen. We also enjoyed using the BBQ area in the backyard. It was also very convenient being only a 10 minute walk from the beach and the grocery store was literally across the street.I recommend this place to anyone looking to have a relaxing and peaceful vacation.

Absolutely a beautiful, spacious property! Very clean, and even with our group of 9 we still had plenty of room. I loved the open floor plan for the living room and kitchen. There are a few minor details that need updating on the listing. The basketball goal is no longer there but just a few to the left there is a church with a basketball court and the hammock in the back is no longer usable due to damage and it being weathered. Other than those minor details several shopping centers within walking distance and the beach access is a straight shot. 10/10 recommend!

Beautiful Home

Beautiful home with spacious yard. Close to the beach and the main road through OBX. Interaction with the host limited, but friendly. Overall an enjoyable stay. Would recommend to friends and family visiting OBX.

Cute and clean house

The house was just like the pictures, a little smaller than expected but it was very clean and close to the beach and stores. Our only real issue is the refrigerator is broke, the water and ice have to be locked or else you have a mess on your hands, the water filters needed replaced as the refrigerator water and ice tasted terrible, and the outdoor shower doesn’t work neither does the water hose out front. There is also no dressers to store clothes (which isn’t a big deal just wish we would have brought clothes hangers). The king size master bed was super comfortable but one of the guest rooms has a terrible mattress. Also, a lot of packages got delivered during our stay and when messaging the host she never responded. We came back from the beach and the packages were gone.

Very clean, nice getaway

My husband and I brought our 3 boys for a long weekend at one of my favorite escapes. The house was great, VERY clean, and very convenient not only in location but all of the appliances/dishes available. I love being able to find everything I need when I’m cooking and this house provides all of that and beyond. The rooms are great, the beds are very comfy - everyone slept well and enjoyed their personal space. The only reason I didn’t give this house 5 stars is in part to a lack of my own due diligence. We were down to 2 houses - this one and one on the other side of the main road, closer to the water. The reason our boys chose this one was because of the awesome driveway and basketball hoop in the pictures (our boys LOVE basketball and play all the time) and it says there is a fire pit (there is an indoor fireplace, but no fire pit). That being said, a basketball hoop was not included in the list of amenities, so I should have asked the property manager instead of making the assumption that because there was one in the pictures, it was still there. The boys tried to hide their disappointment, but I knew better and was very upset initially. But I made myself suck it up and remember what it’s all about - getting away, being together, and having fun and we did do that. The putt putt course nearby is one of our favorites so we made sure to stop there as well as all of the other great parts of KDH. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone. Very nice

Great place

We had 9 people (5 adults, 4 kids) and had enough room, but pushing it with 4 kids. We knew the size of the place going in, so by no means a complaint. But if you have that many people and prefer to spread out more, keep that in mind. The back deck could use some updating, it’s definitely showing its age but the house itself was great, clean.The owner was very responsive. We were happy with the location as well.

Excellent Rental!

This property was everything we needed for our party of 8! It was clean and nicely decorated. We really appreciated that there were plenty of beach towels, extra pillows and blankets, and all the kitchen appliances we could possibly need. We also enjoyed using the outdoor game. The location was great with only a short, easy walk to the beach. The host was very helpful and responsive. The only negative was that only 2 trash bags and 2 rolls of toilet paper were provided for such a large party. We knew we may have to purchase more, but 2 of each was very minimal for the price. Overall, it was a wonderful vacation stay and we would definitely book again!

Great location

This was a great location, the home was clean with spacious entertaining space for our family of 9. I wish they had another bathroom so that we didn't have to share a bathroom with our children (lol) but that's out of their control. We did run out of trash bags. Once we used what was already provided in the can there we couldn't find any more. Other than that it was an amazing stay. They have everything in the kitchen that you would need to cook. If you are going to be traveling with more than 5-6 people make sure that you bring extra washcloths as there weren't enough.

The Perfect Comfort

This was a beautiful home close to the beach! The home had just enough room for everyone to have their own space after being together all day. Host was prompt to respond and answer any questions we had. Will definitely be returning and telling family and friends of the home. If anything, I would suggest making sure you bring toiletries. Overall a great place to vacation.

Clean & Comfortable Home

We enjoyed our stay in this home. The house was clean. The living area and bedrooms were spacious and comfortable for our family of seven. The neighborhood area was safe and near to the beach and other attractions. The host was responsive and friendly.
