“We wanted somewhere rural, quiet and comfortable with access to nearby beaches, and that's exactly what we had! The house is located a mile away from the main road down a track, so there is no passing traffic. Malcolm and Sarah are fabulous hosts, on hand to assist if required, generously giving their time to recommend places of interest and to loan towels for the dogs. The house is lovely, with a small secure patio and grassed area at the back, perfect for our small dogs to mooch about. There...

“Lovely cottage and handy there is a pub close by. The new pub landlord did park outside the cottage space quite a bit but he didn't mind us using the pub car park. He offered to move when we got there if we wished. lovely location and perfect little cottage well equipped”

“Great family house, very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Nice and clean. Great communication. We didn’t realise there was not direct access to the garden, this was our only disappointment, but everything else was great.”

“I’ve been going to the south hams for decades and we were visiting family for a long weekend. We decided to stay at stancombe farm as we wanted the flexibility of eating in and out. Our accomodation was really well equipped and we cooked a few times and had everything we needed. Microwave, Nespresso, dishwasher. The cupboards had all the little items you often need salt, pepper, vinegar. Location wise just above Chillington. A real credit to the owner. We will be back.”

“Just a great all-round place to stay in the centre of town. The only minor missing item was a fan (there’s no AC) and while we were there there was a heat wave and could have done with some air. That missing item does not distract from my 5-star review. ”
