“There are tons of windows and deck areas overlooking Puget sound. We saw orcas, dolphins, seals, river otters, and bald eagles all from the house. The house is built right on the water wall which is great for seeing animals and going on the beach. It is not great for cars. We drove the car down to load and unload but then parked at the neighborhood parking lot about a block away. The waves at high tide come right up to the top of the sea wall and if a cargo ship goes by it will shower your car...

“Pictures made the kitchen /living room area look larger than it was however, we enjoyed the house. The wood fireplace really heated the place up. Would be nice if there was some wood on hand for the fireplace. we bought several bundles from the store overall very enjoyable. We were happy to find the wheelbarrels to carry our items from where we parked to the house made it very simple.”

“We used this as a second location for housing my family for a get-together (we live nearby). It's a beautiful property and location. The pictures are exactly what you'll see when you get there. Easily walkable around the neighborhood. Property management was in contact with us continuously.”

“Our kids live in Seattle so we all met up on Bainbridge Island. The house was perfect for us. There were really two bedrooms for adults (the other were bunk beds). There were wonderful trains and a a mild kitchen downstairs which our grandson loved. The weather was beautiful and we had our dinners out on the deck with beautiful water views!!!”

“The views from this property are unbelievable. You can whale watch from the backyard. It’s like Alice in Wonderland, the deer, the squirrels, the birds were in abundance during our visit. Little nervous about being beholden to the ferry to get over to Seattle, but the ferry terminal is .3 miles from the house, and super simple to access. I will stay here again. Highly recommend, just not when I’m visiting!”

“From beginning to end, what a wonderful visit. In and around the neighborhood and throughout the island, we heard birds, watched ferries come and go, walked in the woods, and wondered what it would be like to live here. It’s just a 30 minute ferry ride away from our home in Seattle, but this lovely, comfortable, peaceful home made us feel like we travelled far away for a restful break from routine. ”

“It's an older home, some bathroom doors do not lock, we had an issue with the wifi but owner helped us get it figured out the next day. Was great for our weekend stay.Nice Place.”

“The lodging was very clean and had a fantastic view. It had nice facilities, and the kitchen was loaded. We were there to see my grandfather's house he owned from 1925-1960.”

“This is an authentic 1940's fishing shack right on the water. It was clean & comfortable & fun to watch all the wildlife & boats. Needs new slider screen, updated tv and some more silverware. Other than that, it was as described.”

“The view from the deck is great, and the house itself is decent and can easily accommodate 10 adults. Everything looks good on the surface, but once you start living in the house you soon discover a general level of disrepair. It’s fine for a couple days, but it would wear on you if it were an extended stay. ”

The host was wonderfully communicative, the house was in the most incredible location (literally right on the water - the pictures are accurate!) and was just what we were looking for. Very private, serene and comfortable. Views from every room too - what a bonus! Would definitely recommend and will be back!”

“The Little Red Cottage was a sweet break on Vashon. A good deal of thought has gone into every aspect of this little place. Before we went, a friend offered a recommendation that I failed to get details on. It turns out, she had stayed at the Little Red Cottage and loved it as well.”

“We have stayed in many vrbo’s over the years, some with movie theaters, game rooms, and beautiful views. This cabin was very inexpensive and was meant to just be a base camp as we cruised around on ferry’s, and explored the surrounding area before catching a flight out of Seattle home to Pensacola. We always look for places that are quiet as that is what we are used to, no loud tv’s in the next townhouse or apartment. So, this place completely fit the bill.Never stayed in a vrbo where every...
