A quiet retreat and perfect for your getaway to the Outer Banks!

J&K's Getaway is a quiet retreat and perfect for your weekend or week-long getaway to the Outer Banks! This newly constructed apartment is beautifully designed and decorated complete with a furnished kitchen, full bath, king size bed and living room. Perfect for resting after spending a day at the beach and in the sun! Linens and towels are provided and waiting for your stay. Located in the sought after Southern Shores community, you will be provided a pass for all the community amenities. This pass will provide you access to a private beach access, a sound park for beautiful sunsets, access to the marina- so bring your boat! Plus other amenities. We are also less then a 2 mile drive to the Kitty Hawk Beach access. There is a fire pit on site for relaxing evenings by the fire.

I närheten

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The apartment was absolutely lovely, new, clean, and very comfortable. It was college football bowl season, so we appreciated the TV with DISH. Love the canal in the back for fishing. Thank you for sharing your property with others.

Perfect!

It was a quick 2 night trip and perfect for what we wanted. Gorgeous views, close to beach access, close to a perfect sunset view, even close enough to stores while also being private and away from the hustle and bustle. We fully enjoyed our stay - the bed was very comfortable as was the other furniture. Big bathroom with excellent shower pressure. Kitchen stocked with all we needed. We were able to make a full meal without issue. Appreciated the complimentary snacks and water bottles. Very quiet and peaceful area and the few neighbors we saw were very friendly. Highly recommend!

Love this place.

Love this place and location. Clean and comfortable. Especially appreciated the kitchen drawers/cabinets being labeled as it helped finding things as well as returning items to their proper spot. Furniture was comfortable as well as bedroom accomodations. River views were gorgeous. Really enjoyed our stay and bookmarked to return.

Lovely relaxing stay in Southern Shores

I had a lovely, relaxing and quiet stay at John's property. It's located on a beautiful cul de sac that backs up to a canal - saw a Snowy Egret looking for frogs twice. The trees around the yard are full of singing birds. It's a great location without all the traffic and noise of the beach. Really comfortable bed and living room. I'm sure I'll be back.

What a special spot!!!

This apartment was just the best. It had everything you would need and more. We were there for a short visit and it was the best.
