Welcome to Crystal Sands! Centrally located on the soundside in Duck, Crystal Sands is perched high in the Tuckahoe Community located just across from the Tennis & Pickleball Courts and the Community Swimming Pool. A short walk to the Soundfront Gazebo you will find ample opportunity for fishing, crabbing and observing some of the best sunsets in Duck. A short walk to the beach access ocean walkway you will enjoy catching the sun rise over the ocean, beachcombing for sea glass & shells, swimming & surfing or enjoying the moonlight & stars in the evening. Tuckahoe and the Village of Duck are bicycle friendly and the Duck Village Center is only a short walk or bike ride away where you will find fun and entertainment such as live music, Duck Amphitheater, Duck Boardwalk, boutique shopping, galleries, coffee, ice cream and donut shops and restaurants ranging from Seafood to Pizza to Barb-b-que. Perched high in the Tuckahoe Community, Crystal Sands offers sunrises from the Great room, front decks and some bedrooms. Crystal Sands is well equipped to make your vacation the best one yet.

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Nice location to the pool and not far from beach

The house accommodated our family with the required bedrooms and bathrooms. We liked how close to the pool. Also liked the short distance to walk to the beach. We didn’t like the clutterness. We didn’t like the raised steps on the third level. We kept falling off or stumbling up these throughout the stay. We didn’t like all the glass surfaces having young children running around increasing the chance of injuries. But overall it was an okay place to stay.
