Start your mornings with a walk over to the historic Ducks Cottage Coffee and Books for a famous "Mucky Duck" and browse the selection of perfect beach reads before heading over to the Community Pool and Tennis Courts for a quick morning Tennis Match or Relaxing Swim. Enjoy evenings grilling up the catch of the day or relaxing on the open deck watching sunsets! The open-concept living space flows seamlessly, offering natural light. The ocean access is just a stroll away (with free community oceanfront parking and community oceanfront dressing area with restrooms for your convenience) and the sound ever-present from your sundeck, you get the best of both worlds in central Duck. Not only is the Sea Colony neighborhood loaded with amenities such as an Olympic sized oceanfront pool, free oceanfront parking, Oceanfront Community dressing area and restrooms, children's playground, tennis and more, you're also located in the heart of Downtown Duck.
Plus, you can stroll the Boardwalk in Duck for shopping, dining, and fun. Purposely designed to be a walking town, the 1.5 miles of Downtown Duck features bike and walking paths, nature trails, picnic areas, and fantastic park. Head over to Coastal Cravings, as seen on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, or down to the local Duck Donuts, where the cake donut craze began.
This home welcomes up to 2 pets for an additional fee of $25 per day per pet ($175 minimum) plus tax. Pets shall be limited to (2) domestic, housebroken adult dogs (no puppies). Puppies are defined as dogs less than 18 months of age.

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Family getaway

Property was close to everything! Easy to get to the beach and restaurants. Communication was easy. Best of all my dog loved it! House was very roomy and open, perfect for a large family! Would rent again when we come back. Oh and the sunsets!!!
