Welcome to the highly-rated "Current View Cottage" in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. This 1950's cottage, adorned with original charm, also offers modern conveniences. As a semi-oceanfront property, it boasts unmatched views of the ocean from the newly constructed deck, complete with hot tub, and from all windows facing the ocean. This makes it a prime vacation rental for those appreciating character, charm, and comfort.

The main level includes living room, dining area, laundry room, and well equipped kitchen with seaglass-style countertops, bar sink, and wine refrigerator. The first floor also features a Master bedroom with a king bed, a wall-mounted TV, two full bathrooms, and a Bunk Room that sleeps four with a Smart TV. The upper level boasts two bedrooms, one king and the other with a queen bed, as well as a half bath. LINENS AND BATH TOWELS ARE PROVIDED for your convenience.

Beat the heat with our ground level outdoor seating area with sofa, table, chairs, picnic table, and outdoor shower with hot and cold water. A utility closet houses beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers, bikes, corn hole boards, beach toys, and a large beach cart for easy transportation to the beach.

Extras include: Beverage refrigerator, Keurig, and regular coffee maker, air fryer, coffee grinder, waffle maker, wi-fi throughout house, high chair, pack and play, bed linens, hair dryers in all bathrooms, starter package and few extra special treats for our guests!

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend Current View Cottage. Beautiful location with water views. The cottage was comfortable, clean and the kitchen was stocked with all the cookware/bakeware/appliances that you could need. The hosts were so kind and always timely with responding to messages. My family and I couldn't be more satisfied with this lovely home!!

Current View - Outer BanksThis place delivered exactly what was advertised. Great location—close to solid restaurants but far enough out to decompress. Kitchen had what we needed to cook when we felt like it. Plenty of parking available. Host was on top of communication the whole time. Check-in and checkout were simple, no hassles. House was clean, comfortable, exactly as described. The beds in all the rooms could use updating. Mattresses had you rolling into each other and the frames let everyone know when you rolled over. But otherwise found everything to be top notch. Layout worked perfectly for our crew. The hot tub at night was outstanding. Everything was easy to access and well-maintained.Would stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommend for families looking for a solid OBX stay. Five stars!

David and Kerry were wonderful hosts, very welcoming and were there to answer any questions we may have had. The cottage was cozy with spectacular views of the ocean and sunrise, the hosts really take care of the property and their guests. We had a relaxing weekend getaway in a beautiful cottage that was perfect for our family. Highly recommended Current View Cottage and look forward to future stays.

The location was great. Our stay In the downstairs bedroom was very comfortable. The kitchen was very nice and well-stocked. The other couple thought the upstairs bed was uncomfortable. (Owners said the mattresses upstairs are going to be replaced.) Also, it was difficult to have to come downstairs to take a shower, if staying upstairs. The home was clean and comfy. Great communication with owners!

The hot tub was fabulous. It was clean and went to the perfect temperature. Great for our windy and chilly October stay! Our hosts kept in contact with us during the entire stay. Rooms were cozy, cottage like and very clean. The laundry worked great with no problems. My older daughter and her husband commented on how much they liked it versus a huge house on the beach and the walk was not far to go onto the beach although the red flags meant no swimming.

We had a great time at this cozy little cottage! We had 9 people and fit perfectly. There were a lot of beach toys, wagon, chairs and umbrellas to use for going to the beach which was just a 1 min walk away. We could see the sunrise, watch the ocean and relax to the sound of the crashing waves from the beautiful deck with ample chairs, a table and hot tub. We will definitely rent this place again if we ever come back the Outer Banks area. The hosts were extremely communicative and helpful! We arrived to a nice gift bag and then a tray of gourmet cookies was delivered a couple days in. They were the best!

Even the winds of hurricane Erin could not debunk this week in the outer banks. Everything was beautiful, from the reading nook, and the view of the ocean to thoughtful little surprises from the hosts. The communication was top notch as well. Kerry worked with me, not only to keep the property protected, but my stay as well.

We had a great time at the Ocean Views Cottage. Everything was very clean, my husband loved the bike.From a european perspective, I like to recommend to the owners to have some laundry detergent available, as well as maybe basic seasonings like salt and pepper, maybe oil. Otherwise it was a great stop during our road trip.

Kid-Approved, Parent-Loved OBX Escape!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this cozy cottage in Kitty Hawk! From the moment we stepped inside, we were impressed by how clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully decorated everything was. It had that perfect mix of beachy charm and modern comfort that made us feel instantly relaxed.The location couldn’t be better—just a short stroll to the beach, where we spent our days soaking up the sun and our evenings hunting for sand crabs (a huge hit with the kids!). We also loved being so close to great local restaurants and shops while still feeling tucked away in a peaceful spot.One of our favorite features was the hot tub—there’s nothing better than soaking under the stars after a day in the sun. The kitchen was well-stocked for meals at home, the beds were super comfortable, and we really appreciated the extras like bed linens, bath towels, beach chairs, and games.This cottage was the perfect home base for our Outer Banks adventure. We made such special memories here and can’t wait to come back!

Perfect Vacation

Our stay at the Current View house was perfect. The house is perfectly located, beautifully decorated, very clean and well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy the week. The vast amount of beach gear was so wonderful for multiple families that included both teenagers and little ones. The hosts were incredibly generous with the information they shared about the area and a cookie tray sent to the house that the kids were especially fond of! It is clear that the owners of this home care very much about their renters with all of the attention to detail. They provided the perfect place for us to celebrate our parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, and we are very grateful. We will be back!

Wonderful Visit at Current View Cottage

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Current View Cottage. Such a relaxing place to spend a few days. The cottage felt like a beautiful home away from home. Decor was lovely; the decking and outside chairs were wonderful to enjoy the sunrise and the views were great. The walk to the beach was very short. So nice that all the supplies- beach chairs, etc were provided. We were able to enjoy the hot tub only once but would have loved to have spent more time in it. Very new and well maintained. Kitty Hawk was a great place for our first visit to the Outer Banks. We would definitely stay here again if we are able to go back. Kerry provided lots of restaurant recommendations and every one we tried was great! We especially enjoyed spending Mother’s Day at The Colington Cafe. We highly recommend the Current View Cottage for your next trip to the Outer Banks!! Thanks, The Walker Family

Cozy, quaint cottage in Kitty Hawk steps from beach!

My husband and I visited Kitty Hawk during the off-season and stayed in a current view cottage just steps from the beach. Though the weather was rainy and windy, the home provided a warm and comfortable retreat. It was beautifully decorated with a beach theme, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The kitchen was adorable, clean and well-stocked with essentials although we dined out during our brief stay. The homeowner, Kerry was attentive and responded quickly to our needs! Also, thanks for the awesome welcome package! The location was excellent—restaurants and supermarkets were nearby, although only a few restaurants were opened and the beach was right across the street. Despite the off-season weather, we enjoyed our time exploring the area, especially as we were in town to browse homes for sale. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and we’d love to return during peak season.

Fall Getaway

We recently did an extended weekend getaway over our fall break. We had an amazing time and even though it was too cool to do a lot at the ocean , it was also nice to visit without the season craziness. Great place

This house was great, beach access is easy but there is a lot of car traffic on the road next to the house that can seem like an unsafe walk to the beach. The host provides a lot of amenities and it's very comfortable stay. The horse tours in Corolla are a must see

Relaxing Family Vacation

We had such a wonderful week at Current View Cottage! The owners were super responsive, the house was very clean, and the location was great! The beach was a short walk but was no problem at all - still close enough to run back for snacks or the bathroom. The hot tub was perfect for our week as it was on the cooler side in the mornings and evenings. We really only used the downstairs as there were just 4 of us, but there was plenty of space for more. Thanks so much for a great week!

Cute and cozy cottage for some needed downtime

Loved staying at the cottage. Location to beach was nice- just a short walk. The place was clean and had everything you would need. Loved that sheets and towels were provided. Roomy for everyone to relax. The street in front is a cut through street so it can be busy which made it hard to go walking or running due to speed of cars. There was a walking/running lane but half the time it was covered by sand so it just made it a bit difficult to enjoy walking to places. Other than that a great relaxing week. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Kerry and David!!
