“What an excellent place this is. The location is perfect for those, like myself, who come into Harpers Ferry by train. Close to the historical center, nearby Bolivar and the Appalachian Trail connector. Shawn, who runs the tiny operation, is attentive, helpful and knows the area and its history very well. The room is cozy and was perfect for my three days writing and walking retreat.”

“Villa Maude is an exquisite jewel nestled in Virginia's "horse country" with a panoramic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I stayed in the Van Gogh room, and it was most comfortable. The host, Maude, was very accommodating. Darla, the dog, after a couple of obligatory barks (dutifully protecting the manse) was a real sweetheart. I was staying there to attend a social function nearby but have this place on my list to return to for more of an R&R stay. Quality always speaks for itself and this...

“Beautiful property, beautiful farm and great old House. Farm store right next by was great also. However, no TV in our room and the TV downstairs wasn’t working, also no WiFi at all. I understand getting away from it all in the beautiful country, but to have no internet was disappointing. The breakfast was made and left in fridge before we arrived. It was a tasty plate of cold cuts, fruit , cheeses. A nice hot breakfast featuring eggs and meats from their farm would have been a lot more fun. ...

“My friend and I just competed a three-night stay at Beaver Creek Inn and Spa. The Inn was fantastic. The owner, Kelly, is the nicest person you'll ever meet. The room was wonderful. The public spaces are gracious and comfortable. The home-made breakfasts, served in the room, were huge and extraordinary. And my friend, who had both a massage and a reflexology session, said both were incredible. We will be back. Recommended without reservation.”

“Loved the fact that the inn is old and historic. Room was great. I’m a sports nut and downtime on weekends i like to watch some college football. Be forewarned, there is no TV. Which ends up good as you can hear conversations from the room beside yours. I didn’t care for the music from the barn behind the property although it did end at a reasonable hour. These are small things but I tend to be sensitive to extraneous sounds. ”

“Maud and her villa was an absolutely wonderful stay. Her place was a beautiful oasis hidden in Middleburg. The location was perfect as well. She had special touches like creamer and waters in the fridge. The pool was amazing!”

“This was hands-down our favorite VRBO/vacation home that we’ve stayed in. Between the views, the decks, cleanliness, comfortability, and the fact that it was completely stocked with everything we needed, it was perfect! We got married 20 minutes from the house and had our whole bridal party stay there with us. There was enough bedrooms, bathrooms, and just space in general for everyone to feel comfortable. We will be back!”

“Loved everything about this wonderful little house in the woods. We enjoyed the peace and quiet while relaxing on the front porch or by the fire pit. We visited Harpers Ferry and Antietam Battlefield during our stay and had the best time. Bonnie and George were great hosts. They suggested things to see and do in the area. They thought of everything when deciding to open up their home for others to enjoy. Would like to stay again in the future, especially during the fall season.”
