"We stayed at Meritin hotel as part of our longer journey across Malaysia and Borneo. For a stay in Kuching we can happily recommend Meritin hotel, as it maintained a high standard in most aspects. The price was quite good in regards to its high standards. Positives: - Good location, close to the city centre and walking distance to the waterfront. - Clean and fresh room! This is one of the highest standards I’ve seen in Malaysia so far in terms of room standards (cleaning wise). - Very helpfull and friendly staff! They helped us with everything we wanted and made sure we had a good stay. - High speed wifi Negatives: - Although they had breakfast available, they had quite few options. It’s not the biggest deal in world, but if you’re a big breakfast person I suggest to book without breakfast and find something better in town. Early breakfast was not available. Overall a very good stay thanks to the helpfull and friendly staff and good standards of the rooms. Highly recommended for a stay in Kuching! "
